;D The first entry in the chrusciki cook-off has been received (by me) and consumed (by me and my husband). Piwo's entry receives 100-plus out of 100 points! 50 points for sending an entry in the first place, and no points off for arriving in fragments (too light and delicate to travel well even if perfectly packed in a Bailey's tin.)
25 points for texture 25 points for taste extra points for creating a feeling of nostalgia

Thanks for the kind words Nancy! Moms are better, but I'll try again in a few weeks and see if I can "put some pressure" on her. LOL

White Eagal Bakery in NJ sells them to Wegmans Food Mkts here. They are actually quite good for store bought. Maybe if your community has a large Polish population your food market might carry them if you ask.

Our local Stop& Shop has some by "Wanda." I could no more eat store boughten ones that I could buy Hillshire Farms Polska kielbasa (every grandparent, aunt and uncle would rise up from their resting places and strike me down.)
I prefer to whine and beg for real ones. ;D
