It's funny and great John. Dutch people over here in the East go to Germany for great christmasmarkets over there. The Germans are great at creating the christmas atmosphere. The Belgians and French and Austrians too. Maybe the Netherlands are to flat, have to less woods and forests to be like Germany. But we have our own christmas markets too. That's an European thing christmas markets. And Germany has a lot of old villages and towns with a great Christmas atmosphere. One of the songs Heilige Nacht has also Dutch and English versions.
Thank most kindly by friends, until now, my self had not given much thought to Christmas. For as with your kind post, I was to remember that what I had forgotten.
The Christmas Market, yes, in Hamburg there were several, and all were happy places to go, visit and order a nice mug of hot spice Glüwein either Wintertraum or Christkindl for they would chase out the winter chill both, and a hot würst Sauerkraut sandwich. A nice setting of happy faces, bright lights and many choices to set aside both chill and gloom.
