A day before US President Donald Trump urged EU allies to take back over 800 Daesh* fighters that had been captured in Syria and put them on trial.
According to the DPA news agency, citing representative of Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen, Copenhagen won't take back Daesh fighters to stand trial in the country.
"We are talking about the most dangerous people in the world. We should not take them back", he stressed, adding that Trump's statement was premature, as the situation in Syria is far from stable.

Earlier on Sunday a spokeswoman for Germany's interior ministry addressed the US president’s appeal.
"In principle, all German citizens and those suspected of having fought for so-called Daesh* have the right to return", she said, adding, however, that the condition for that was consular access for the suspects.
The German official also said that Iraq had shown an interest in having some of the jihadists fighters from Germany put on trial. "But in Syria, the German government cannot guarantee legal and consular duties for jailed German citizens due to the armed conflict there", she concluded.
