I was glued to the TV screen tonight as Nancy Pelosi announced impeachment procedures. Democrats are not happy, but what Trump is doing to this country is really damaging its reputation. There were so many instances of lying and distorting the law, now with this new allegations for Trump pushing to get a dirt on opponent. It is just unbelievable.
In the UK, there is also a strange situation, since Boris Johnson probably lied to the queen.
I am disturbed by what is going on nowadays in the world and how low politicians go.

Jaga
My self do agree with you," What is going on with politicians today}? I do not have nor risk an answer of that. There once was a time, this could be corrected to an extent but not so at present.
With Mr. Tariff Trump {this is what he is known in Europe} and what ever is on going at the White house, is an internal issue of which my self would refrain from comment, other then to say the American politicts has become a laughing matter with three years of nasty relations between the Republicans and Democrats. It would appear there are no other issues to take care of in America other then picking on each other.

Karl,
I agree that the politics is becoming a laughing matter ... and it is not only in the US, but also in UK etc.

I like the published restaurant analagy: Full credit time: the brilliant fish ordering Brexit analogy is the work of @alexbuchanan. On the one hand, great that I now know who wrote it. On the other, Alex may be about to enjoy the full hair dryer treatment from the enthusiastic no dealers who are less approving than me. It should have led to an "are you sure?" vote some months ago. Should such a consequential vote with a knife thin margin rule? In many case I would say yes; in this case, no, I think the Brits should have had a chance to express second thoughts and a more considered vote after 12 or 18 months, all the while working toward a reasonable action. As it is, let it be so, Out the Door, and don't let it hit you on the butt on your way out! Kai
