Jaga,
Settela Steinbach in the short movie of 7 seconds and photo was in a train in the German and Austrian Nazi Durchgangslager Westerbork, a transit camp in Drenthe province, northeastern Netherlands, during World War II. The train brought her directly to the German and Austrian Nazi concentration camp Auschwitz in occupied Poland where she was gassed. The image of her looking out of the train in Camp Westerbork became an iconic image and symbol of the Holocaust, just like the little Polish jewish boy in the Warsaw Ghetto who raised his arms for the SS men who painted their guns at him and Annne Franks image.Polish jewish boy in the Warsaw GhettoAnne Frank in Amsterdam, the NetherlandsCheers, Pieter

Pieter,
the iconic picture with Warsaw ghetto as tragic as it is, it is also known. The one with Settela I did not see before. The idea of coloring the pictures of victims is a good one. It gives these people more personality and dignity. It makes them one of us.
