Real Humans (Swedish: Äkta människor) is a 2012 Swedish science fiction/drama series set in an alternative near-future version of Sweden where consumer-level humanoid robot workers and servants are widespread. The series follows the resulting emotional effects on two families as well as the trials of a group of robots who have attained free will and want their freedom from human ownership.

With such films as Humans with depicting human characteristics not as robots but as human helpers. For this is the intention with their development. Robots as so, have been in existence for many years but only as machines in industry as human helpers but only recently as human appearances.
It is unfortunant that at present in many cases, further development as in Japan and the US, many are produced as sex toys. This is well and good for the market that supports such development, but this negates such important areas such as in teaching/working in environments that are dangerous to humans/as aids in the medical field and as companions to the aged living at home and so on..
As such, these human like machines should be treated with respect and not as a slave machine.

Karl,
There are various sides to this subject and the roles could switch in the future when intelligent robots (Humanoids) improve themselves and become even more intelligent and stonger than human beings, without the human conciousness and human ethical borders. They could either enslave us, put us in cages like animals in a zoo or eradicate us, in a genocice or 'New Holocaust' of intelligent Humbots (Superior synthetic and metal Humanoid machines) on Human beings (Homo sapiens).
There will be extremely intelligent robots in the future and mad scientists will try to find an artificial human brain for such robots that are different than human brains, but maybe synthetic, partly chemical and partly liquid and partly metal. These super intelligent Humanoid or Humbot robots with human features will try to improve themselves, to create an evolution of their kind in synthetic development of their organical and mechanical beings. Maybe some robots will be a combination of humans and robots and others will be total synthetical, while maybe human will be outnumbered or opressed and controled by regimes that depend on intelligent Humanoids (Humbots). They will merge the best human elements with the best robots, the best computer science, the best technology and train these machines to have better motor skills.
These robots will become more and more sophisticated, more and more advanced, and maybe in the near future it will be hard to destighuish between a real human being (Homo Sapiens) and it's perfect Humanoid (Humbot) robot clone. Like the famous Wax sculptures of famous people in the Madame Tussauds museums. Wax figure of the American actress Sandra Bullock in Madame Tussauds Museum in Washington, D.C. Imagine such a Humaniod, merged with the human motor skills of the real Sandra Bullock, under here in Berlin during movie Germany awards.Cheers, Pieter

It is my sincer belief you have covered some very important points of some danger in the matter of robots in our future. At this early stage in their development there remains a great deal of research needs be completed with the topic of robots. With this, safe guards in the manner of abuse by human frailties not to be built in to robots or later tampered with.
The last video presented is a prime example of abuse of this new technology. Those apes acting like humans are what we must protect against. Robots are a technology that should never be used in war or physical conflicts.
An example is of the following with a conversation with Sophia.
Some thing of note though, the more it would appear, is the more a robot that has human features the more humans will trust it. Now then, here my self has referred to a robot as,"it". This in self takes away identity in the same way as using machine as reference for a robot.
