this year is uneasy from many reasons. There is unusually low level of rivers in Poland. No rain and very little snow accumulated during the winter. There was a big fire due to the drought in one of the National Parks in Poland near Biebrza River. There were lots of swampy areas with wildlife, especially wetland birds, river animals and fish, but now it looks like Idaho after fire.

This is indeed so a very dangerious and bad fire. With such an abundance of grass fuel and the stiff wind as shown, this makes it very bad for the fire fire fighters with the chance of a back draft.

yes, and it might happen in other places since the drought extents all over Poland. Unfortunately many animals died in the park.

Pieter, I agree, the level to which Polish rivers are still unregulated is bad. They should be doing what Dutch are doing for years, then the bad flood that happened at Oder river could be also prevented possibly.
