Upon viewing the video as promoted by Dutch Parliamentary Canadaten Sylvana Simons, I see some red flags in her programme. For one, it would appear she and those that are supporting her, are all Black. This in self begins to smack of racism, for her programme of equal rights for black people is one thing, but she has not included other people of colour. Another red flagg.
Realizing this is in reality of politics where promises are only what they appear to be until acted upon, but then, it also appears that Ms. Simons is creating a problem to then later to provide the answer to solve it, if elected.

Karl,
Sylvana Simons and her BIJ1 fits in the Dutch tradition of pillarization. BIJ1 serves the Black Dutch interest. The PVV, Forum for Democracy and JA21 fit the Angry native Dutch white interest. The VVD and D66 fit the secular liberal interest. The Christian Democratic CDA fits the rural farmland, small town and social conservative city and townfolk interests. The ChristenUnie and the SGP serve Christian interest of the Bible Belt, Evangelicals and traditional Calvinist and Lutheran christians. Denk (Think) serves the Muslim migrant interests.
The Socialist Party, GreenLeft (the Greens) and the Labour Party serve Trade Union, workers, lower middle class, low income, progressive pupils and students, Leftwing women, Feminist, social security, equality, Social Democratic (Democratic Socialist), progressive, affordable low income housing projects and environmental issues.
The Party for the Animals is a party for animal protection, social human interests, fighting climate change and Green ideals. It goes father than GreenLeft (the Greens) and the Labour Party and the Socialist Party (SP). The Party of the Elders 50Plus represents the interests of the older people and Volt stands for Europeanism, internationalism and European Federalism in it’s Pro-European stance. Volt is close to D66 in that, because D66 is a Pro-European progressive liberal party as well.
Cheers, Pieter

Well my self as a North Western European, Frisian/Dansk and German {what a mix..} we speak our minds and as so, this is my own personal mind: Ms. Simons best get off this racist band wagon and return to the TV she is better suited for. The lady is swimming against the currant of reality. For these times before her appearance, people of colour have been promoting this same rhetoric for some time..For all of us do have our democracy that we maintain through our freedom of elections and with this, a nation is made up of individuals to make a whole so why should she be different for she is one with all of us as an equal.

She is a democratically elected member of the Dutch parliament Karl. The Afro European Dutch voted her into parliament. I am curious how she will develop herself in the coming 4 years.
In her first week she collaborated with Geert Wilders, her former colleagues of Denk, and other parties. She showed her pragmatic side.

Karl,
In a democracy you have the freedom of speech, gathering, spreading your ideas, make propaganda for your ideas and to become elected. Sylvana Simons managed to do so with her BIJ1 Party ticket. BIJ1 is an anti-racist and anti-capitalist political party in the Netherlands. The party was founded in 2016 by Sylvana Simons, a television personality who was formerly connected to Denk. BIJ1 focuses on fighting racism and discrimination in the Netherlands.2018 municipal electionsThe party only contested the municipal elections in March 2018 in Amsterdam. Sylvana Simons was again elected as lijsttrekker. During the campaign a candidate of the party was accused of lying about her résumé, in which she wrongfully claimed to be a psychiatrist. She was eventually withdrawn as a candidate.
Despite this incident, the party won 6,571 votes (1.9%), just enough to win a seat on the city council. The best results for BIJ1 were in Amsterdam-Zuidoost, especially in the Bijlmermeer, which is home to a large Surinamese migrant population.2021 general electionIn February 2020, the party announced that it would compete in the upcoming 2021 general election. In November 2020, the candidate list was approved by the general assembly. Sylvana Simons was again selected as lijsttrekker and anti-racism activist Quinsy Gario was placed as the second place candidate. The party is supported by prominent lijstduwers, such as academic Gloria Wekker and actresses Anousha Nzume and Romana Vrede.IdeologyAccording to the party, its two pillars are radical equality and economic justice. The party strives for the emancipation of the LGBT community, stronger anti-hate speech laws and an end to ethnic profiling.
Economically the party calls for a single-payer healthcare system, the closing of the gender wage gap and replacing gross domestic product with the concept of gross national happiness as the dominant economic indicator.Cheers, Pieter

Black Surinamese Winti ceremony to appoint Sylvana Simons as first Black Female Party leader in the Netherlands Winti is an Afro-Surinamese traditional religion that originated in South America and developed in the Dutch Empire. It is a syncretization of the religious beliefs and practices of Akan and Fon slaves (with the gods such as Leba or Legba, Loko and Aisa or Ayizan) with Christianity.
The foundation of Winti based on three principles: the belief in the supreme creator called Anana Kedyaman Kedyanpon; the belief in a pantheon of spirits called Winti; and the veneration of the ancestors. There is also a belief in Ampuku (also known as Apuku) which are anthropomorphic forest spirits. An Ampuku can possess people (both men and women) and can also pass itself off as another spirit. Ampuku can also be water spirits, and are known in such cases as Watra Ampuku.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WintiWintiWinti (sranan tongo for "vind") er en surinamsk religion, hvis tilhængere hovedsagelig er kreolere.

Jaga,
I share you desire. I have never been in Suriname, nor the Dutch Antilles in the Caribbean, nor Indonesia. The only former colony I have seen is South-Africa. I saw the Spanish and Portuguese colonies, La Gomera (Island) and São Miguel Island (Portuguese for Saint Michael, Portuguese pronunciation: [sɐ̃w miˈɣɛɫ]), nicknamed "The Green Island" (Ilha Verde), is the largest and most populous island in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores.
Of course I have experience with speaking with Surinamese, Dutch Antillian people and Indonesians in the Netherlands, but that is different than having been in their countries, nations and Islands.
Cheers, Pieter
