Kaima,
Zoroastrists, Orthodox Jews, Roman Catholic Christians, Orthodox Christians, Calvinist Christians (Presbyterians in the USA), Lutherans, Evangelicals, Baptists, Methodists, Muslims, Hindu's and Buddhists believe that due to things that happened thousands of years ago, they have a claim on a certain truth today in the 21th century. Shia Muslims mourn on the event which marks the anniversary of the Battle of Karbala (AD 680/AH 61), when Imam Hussein ibn Ali, a grandson of Prophet Muhammad, was martyred by the forces of Ubayd Allah ibn Ziyadd. Sunni- and Shia Islam is in a struggle for influence and territory in the Arab Muslin world. In Iraq, Jemen, Syria and Lebanon the Shiites try to dominate and find strong Sunni Muslim resistance.
The Shia Crescent (or Shiite Crescent) is the notionally crescent-shaped region of the Middle East where the majority population is Shia or where there is a strong Shia minority in the population. In recent years the term has come to identify areas under Iranian influence or control, as Iran has sought to unite all Shia Muslims under one banner. Areas included in the Shia Crescent include Lebanon, Syria, Bahrain, Iraq, Iran, Azerbaijan, Yemen, and western Afghanistan.
In all these countries the Sunni Muslim (majority in the Muslim world) and Shia Muslim (a minority in the Muslim world) compete over power, religious dominance and doctrines and territory. Iran vs Saoudi Arabia. In Israel/Palestine Semitic brethern (Jews and Arabs) oppose each other for land in Israel and the Westbank (Samaria and Judea for religious Orthodox Jews and Relgious zionists). For Jews Eretz Yisrael (The Land of Israel (Hebrew: אֶרֶץ יִשְׂרָאֵל), Jerusalem (especially the Temple Mount), the Western Wall, a retaining wall of the Temple Mount and remnant of the Second Temple structure, is considered by some rabbinical authorities the holiest accessible site for Jews to pray.
The Four Holy Cities in Jewish tradition are the cities of Jerusalem, Hebron, Tiberias, and Safed: The Jewish Encyclopedia in 1906 noted: "Since the sixteenth century the Holiness of Palestine, especially for burial, has been almost wholly transferred to four cities—Jerusalem, Hebron, Tiberias, and Safed."
Judea
Judea or Judaea, and the modern version of Judah (/dʒuːˈdiːə/;[1] from Hebrew: יהודה, Standard Yəhūda, Tiberian Yehūḏā; Greek: Ἰουδαία, Ioudaía; Latin: Iūdaea) is the ancient, historic, Biblical Hebrew, contemporaneous Latin, and the modern-day name of the mountainous southern part of the region of Israel and part of the West Bank. The name originates from the Hebrew name Yehudah, a son of the biblical patriarch Jacob/Israel, with Yehudah's progeny forming the biblical Israelite tribe of Judah (Yehudah) and later the associated Kingdom of Judah, which the 1906 Jewish Encyclopedia dates from 934 until 586 BCE. The name of the region continued to be incorporated through the Babylonian conquest, Persian, Hellenistic, and Roman periods as Babylonian and Persian Yehud, Hasmonean Judea, and consequently Herodian and Roman Judea, respectively.
As a consequence of the Bar Kokhba revolt, in 135 CE the region was renamed and merged with Roman Syria to form Syria Palaestina[3] by the victorious Roman Emperor Hadrian. A large part of Judea was included in the Jordanian West Bank between 1948 and 1967 (i.e., the "West Bank" of the Kingdom of Jordan).[4][5] The term Judea as a geographical term was revived by the Israeli government in the 20th century as part of the Israeli administrative district name Judea and Samaria Area for the territory generally referred to as the West Bank.[
The Hebrew calendar (Hebrew: הַלּוּחַ הָעִבְרִי, HaLuah HaIvri), also called Jewish calendar, is a lunisolar calendar used today for Jewish religious observance, and as an official calendar of the state of Israel. It determines the dates for Jewish holidays and the appropriate public reading of Torah portions, yahrzeits (dates to commemorate the death of a relative), and daily Psalm readings, among many ceremonial uses. In Israel, it is used for religious purposes, provides a time frame for agriculture, and is an official calendar for civil holidays, alongside the Gregorian calendar.

Thanks for your response, Pieter. The meme might be a bit misleading for a non-American or an American east of the Mississippi River. They have little contact and presumably little knowledge of Native Americans, and this lady is a Native American. The meme points out the conflict between Americans, now often the political 'christian' right wing, who aggressively support Israel, while at the same time they do not make any fuss or offers of atonement on their part for having moved into or taken possession of land that was already owned by the Native Americans. I thought I would post this meme, which was sent to me by an Eskimo cousin (and yes, most do not take insult at use of this exonym) who is well aware of her heritage. Kai Ah, I forgot to add in a map of North America ... showing America as it was once Great. Then there are the language groupings that also shows the peoples: Here is a rendition of the transition time, after the Europeans arrived but before the West was fully colonized. Then someone analyzed the percentage of Native population in the Americas today: This map shows the percentage of indigenous population in different countries of the Americas. This map reminds me of the Maps of Europe before the Early Middle Ages:

And the unrest and violence continues on Monday.
Kaima,
Thank you for the detailed and accurate description of the Native American land of the Native American tribes the Cherokee, Sioux, Comanche, Navajo and other tribes in Canada, the USA, Mexico, Central (Latijn) America and the Caribbean by British English, Scottish, Welsh, French, Dutch, Spanish and Portuguese settlers. The Native Americans were largely driven from their land which was confiscated and exploited by the newcomers. We can never hold the offspring of these ancestors responsible, because these people with European heritage are Canadians, Americans, Mexicans, Puerto Ricans, Hondurans, San Salvadorians, Colombians, Venezuelans, Paraguayns, Bolivians, Brazillians, Argentinians, Dutch Antilliaans, French Antillians, French Guyana’s, British Guyans, Trinidans, Yamaicans and Cubans. In many of these place Native Americans were replaced by Europeans and imported Black African slaves and Indian, Pakistani and Javanese (Indonesian) exploited guest workers who replaced the slaves after the abolishment of slavery.
Due to rape, forced relationships and unequal marriages white European settlers forced themselves on Native American girls and women and from that the Latino Mestizo race emerged with it’s own problems, suffering and struggle. Racism was and is present in all America’s and in all parts the offspring of the White European Colonial settlers and regimes dominate. Look at Brazil, Argentine, Chile and Mexico for instance next to Canada, the USA and Mexico 🇲🇽. In all the America’s you also had Native and American mixes, called Zambo in the Spanish and Portuguese colonized Southern-America, Central-America and Mexico and Cuba.
Zambo (Spanish: [ˈθambo] or [ˈsambo]) and cafuzo (Portuguese: [kɐˈfuzu]) are racial terms historically used in the Spanish and Portuguese empires referring to people of mixed Indigenous and African ancestry. Occasionally in the 21st century, the term is used in the Americas to refer to persons who are of mixed African and Amerindian ancestry. (The analogous English term, sambo, is considered a slur.) Historically, the racial cross between enslaved Africans and Amerindians was referred to as a zambayga, then zambo, then sambo.
Many terms exist for people of various multiracial backgrounds, including multiracial, biracial, multiethnic, polyethnic, Métis, Creole, Muwallad, mulatto, Coloured, Dougla, half-caste, mestizo, Melungeon, quadroon, cafuzo/zambo, Eurasian, hapa, hāfu, Garifuna, pardo and Guran.
History can’t be undone in historical Canaan, Babylonia, ancient Faronic Egypt, the Filistine era, the Assyrian time, the Persian occupation of Israel and Judea and Samaria, Roman Palestine, Arab Palestine 🇵🇸 of Saladin, the Crusader Conquest and massacres of Jews, Muslims and other Christians in Jerusalem in the so called holy land, the recapture of Jerusalem and Palestine/Israel by Arab Muslims again, and after that the Ottoman Turks, and after that the British and After that the Israeli Jews, the Egyptians (Gaza) and Jordan 🇯🇴 (The Westbank and Eastern Jerusalem), and after that partly Hamas (Gaza) and the Westbank (Fatah/PLO). On both sides you have corrupt leaders and on both sides you have good and bad and inbetween people.
Europe has a bad heritage in Africa, Asia (our former Dutch colony Indonesia), Oceania (Australia and New Zealand and other islands European colonial powers occupied and settled) and the Middle East (British and French occupation of Arab, Persian Iranian and Levantine Jewish land in Israel/Palestine).
It is the way it is Kai.
Cheers, Pieter

Kai and Pieter
Whilst checking through in the first as a quick scan was then to find this was ladened with some very educational information of a map of North American indigenous populations. I was not aware of such a vast number of such indigenous peoples of such different tribes as shown until of this presentation.
Of course we are not ignorant of such indigenous tribes of North America for our respective school studies do bring this out, but not this extensive. On one hand, if a person is to view the plight of these peoples in their gradual demise of peoples and the land they once lived on, is very devastating to the senses, but to view the plight these peoples were exposed to, it then becomes clear they were over taken by a superior culture and vast numbers of which they were not prepared to meet and over come. Such as the Spanish invasion in South and Central Americas against such peoples as the Mayans and Aztecs.
In the reality of life, expansion of populations requires new land and as reality speaks, there will be losers of that land to the populations with the will and means to take and develop that land as settlements.
My self must say though, for above as mentioned, is in no means brought out as cold and heartless, for this is in no means meant as so. Simply as brought out the reality that has been with us as human beings from the very far past to the present.
Karl

Burned cars and a damaged synagogue in the Israeli city Lod. Lod's locals woke up to the aftermath of heavy clashes and rocket attacks, as conflict between Israelis and Palestinians intensified.
