She is a great scientist, but the president of Tunisia just dissolved the parliament (he is one of these self-claimed dictators like Trump and Lukashenko, so Najla role may be limited.

It is interesting and a step forward upon the world of International stage for a Female PM to enter. For perhaps on her home turf, she may be as indicated, limited in power at this time, but to fast forward with her road of successes, she will be recognized as a well respected representative of Tunisia.

Karl, yes, we will see. The world changes so much during our lifetime, having females in power in Europe is more the norm now, but not in Arab countries. Lukeshenko does not even treat women as worthy competitors

Very nice examples of successful women representing the states they represent. It is just not the sex that matters, but the ability and related skills as you have exampled.

In this Woke time I want to state this that in our multicultural and multi ethnic Europe I do not see coloured, Black or other minorities in the European Commission. Woke (/woʊk/ wohk) is a term, originating in the United States, that originally referred to awareness about racial prejudice and discrimination. It subsequently came to encompass an awareness of other issues of social inequality, for instance, regarding gender and sexual orientation. Since the late 2010s, it has also been used as a general term for left-wing political movements and perspectives emphasising the identity politics of people of colour, LGBT people, and women.

I was wondering the meaning of "Woke" my self and you have answered very clearly.. My self had not thought of the absence of minorities in The European Commission until at present with your question. My only feelings about the question is only a guess, but suspect non other the present have had the qualifications to enter as representative in this area of our known world.
