Hello all, I did not use computer at all yesterday since I felt pretty bad. I took my shot just a day after Thanksgiving and I had chills at night, some fever and cannot taste (this is good since I cannot eat that much). Now I feel a bit better. I still think it was worth, especially since omicron is coming. www.cnn.com/2021/11/26/africa/new-covid-variant-discovered-south-africa-b11529-intl/index.htmlI start to believe that all of us would finally catch the virus, majority would survive but some would not. My two brothers had it already, their wives also, my best friend in Poland. The numbers in Poland are pretty bad.

I am sorry you suffered such a reaction as you have, but happy you are over it. It would so appear as your presentation has covered of this nasty little bug that is so busy adjusting to live is very much watched. Nature has the manner of adjusting to life as exampled by this variant such as it is. But then, so do us as living creatures that we are. It is just who will gain the upper hand as to survival.

Sorry to hear about your reaction to the booster, Jaga. I consider myself fortunate with a minimal reaction. About 24 hours after the booster the upper arm turned a bit red and was tender for about 36 hours, but was otherwise painless and fully usable. That was with the Moderna vaccine.
Well, a good reaction is interpreted as an effective reaction by the immune system, the desired efffect!

Well, I am glad all have the booster. My wife and I are scheduled to have the Moderna booster on Wednesday. To date I did not have any reactions to any shots.

yes, I think that the reaction means it works. I went for a walk yesterday afternoon since it was unusually warm for this time of a year and I felt well since. I consider myself lucky and glad to hear we all got boosters

John, Kai, I am glad you got the booster. I had some side effects but this just lasted two days. Karl and Pieter, I also hope you are doing well.
Just a day before my birthday (Dec.18) one of my friends passed away on covid. She was just 3 years older than me, but she and her twin sisters did not take vaccines. This was a shock to me, since I received a letter from her just 1.5 month ago and I sent an early Christmas letter to her.
Her twin sister's daughter just had a baby-girl. There were lots of deaths in this area of Poland (southeastern, Zamosc). She even wrote about it in her letter. Both women are very religious and they pray a lot... but unfortunately there is a big wing of catholic church that does not believe in vaccinations, for instance Radio Maryja.
