Wonderful John. Christmas inspired people to make good music.
The Christmas Oratorio (German: Weihnachts-Oratorium), BWV 248, for instance is an oratorio by Johann Sebastian Bach intended for performance in church during the Christmas season. It was written for the Christmas season of 1734 and incorporates music from earlier compositions, including three secular cantatas written during 1733 and 1734 and a largely lost church cantata, BWV 248a. The date is confirmed in Bach's autograph manuscript. The next performance was not until 17 December 1857 by the Sing-Akademie zu Berlin under Eduard Grell. The Christmas Oratorio is a particularly sophisticated example of parody music. The author of the text is unknown, although a likely collaborator was Christian Friedrich Henrici (Picander).

upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/b/b7/NPO_Radio_4_logo_2014.svg/1280px-NPO_Radio_4_logo_2014.svg.pngNPO Radio 4 is a public-service radio channel in the Netherlands, broadcasting chiefly classical music. It is part of the Netherlands Public Broadcasting system, NPO. Programming The emphasis during the day was once all-complete works from both well- and lesser-known tracks; however, the station now focuses more on short segments from better-known classical repertoire. In the evening (around 8-11pm), a live concert is broadcast, on Saturday evening a regular live recording of an opera concert. Since 2015, live shows can be watched in the studio via a webcam. P.S. - I love to listen to Radio 4 during my long drives between Arnhem and Vlissingen (131 miles/211 km) in my Ford Fiesta Titanium, on the internet and via television at my mothers place. She is fond of classical music as well. My father is in the nursing home.

The first part (for Christmas Day) of the Christmas Oratorio describes the Birth of Jesus, the second (for December 26) the annunciation to the shepherds, the third (for December 27) the adoration of the shepherds, the fourth (for New Year's Day) the circumcision and naming of Jesus, the fifth (for the first Sunday after New Year) the journey of the Magi, and the sixth (for Epiphany) the adoration of the Magi.

Kai
What a wonderful story you have presented in the manner of human relations. For it was very dear and heartfelt to the extent of bringing wetness to my eyes and the renewal of belief in people and their love for one another at times of strife as shown in the film.
