J.J.
Thank you most kindly for this very high quality music, for this with Bach is very appropriate for the season. Of late, this was to lift my spirits up in to the spirit of Christmas from ground zero.
Once again my thanks are to you for your thoughtfulness and of such quality music..

John,
Thank you very much. I come from a country with a Bach and Mahler tradition. Especially the St Matthew Passion tradition around Easter. Bach as a Lutheran Christian made the most beautiful Christian music I know.
The Christmas Oratorio (German: Weihnachts-Oratorium), BWV 248, is an oratorio by Johann Sebastian Bach intended for performance in church during the Christmas season. It is also played but has a less great tradition as the St Matthew Passion.
Singing in churches, hearing the Bible story about Christmas from the scriptures, commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, was and is a beautiful thing. But hearing Bach in a church or concert hall being played by an orchestra and singers is wonderful. Thank you John.
Cheers. Pieter

John, thank you for sharing Bach Christmas presentation with us. I wish you all also merry Christmas We spent today travelling from Idaho falls through salt lake and Detroit to San Antonio. Then Ela drove us to Fredericksburg. We were lucky since we left Idaho falls before it started really snowing.tge flight to Detroit and back was an unnecessary leg of our travel but we had to deal with it.
