The POLISH Invasion of Germany 1939 Dec 27, 2021
Germany invaded Poland on 1 September 1939, but what most people don't know is that a Polish Army column successfully invaded Germany the next day! This is the story of the Fraustadt Raid, when Polish forces drove 8km into the Third Reich.

John,
well done film. I did not hear about this ride, but of course everybody knew about made by Nazi Gliwitz attack. It is good that Poles were able to win this battle. My mother and her family were in Upper Silesia and they were the first invaded by German army. It their area there were no battles, which was probably good for the local civil population.

J.J.
It is such shame that all this was to happen, for many lives lost so much destruction. This was the wrong war for the wrong reasons as wars go. My father was in this first of many actions, and then to North Africa, then to Russia where he was killed in his panzer. Yet, I do not hate Russians for that was so long past and it was war time, for each solder fought for his country rather he wished to do so or not, for each though that died in the war, deserves all honour that is his/hers to be.
