Russian people seem not to be fond of attacking Ukraine. Some of them see Ukrainians as brothers, others point at Russian and Ukrainian relatives in Ukraine, again others say Ukraine poses no threat to Russia 🇷🇺 and again others say that it would be unwise due to bad financial and economical consequences.

Pieter and Karl we can listen to different views, but it is Putin and Russia that are concentrating the forces on the boarder to invade Ukraine, not the other way around. Ukraine get more weapons, because Europe and the US do not want its to fall. The latest news - even Ukrainian wealthy(oligarchs) are leaving the country. Folks, I hope that these latest video’s show a balanced view. In the sense of "listen to the other side", or "let the other side be heard as well". The Ukrainian opinion, the various opinions on different media Chanals. How do people view the tension themselves in Kyiv, in the coastal regions near the Azov sea, in Belarus, in Moscow. A critical Ukrainian president, critical towards the West. Cheers, Pieter

Hello Pieter yes, this is very true I am surprised how Russia and its supporters among Fox New viewers and ex-president Trump want to blame the west for creating the conflict and aggression towards Russia just because Biden would not guarantee that Ukraine would not join NATO. Jaga Jaga, Unfortunately I am not surprised how Russia and its supporters among Fox New viewers and ex-president Trump want to blame the west for creating the conflict and aggression towards Russia. I am not surprised because for nearly a decade I see the Pro-Russian and Pro-Putinist stances of Rightwing National Populist political parties, movements and leaders in Europe and the USA like Marine le Pen, Heinz-Christian Strache, Viktor Orbán, Matteo Salvini, Filip Dewinter, Markus Frohnmaier, Udo Hemmelgarn, Robby Schlund, Geert Wilders, Thierry Baudet and Steve Bannon of Rassemblement national, the FPÖ, Fidesz, Lega Nord, Vlaams Belang (Flemish Interest), Alternative für Deutschland, the Freedom Party (PVV), Forum for Democracy and the Movement. European political parties with close links to Trumpism, Alt Right, Fox News stances, Euroscepsism and NATO scepsism, Pro-Brexit stances and Pro-Russianism & Putinism. The Movement is a Brussels-based right-wing populist organization founded by Steve Bannon of the United States to promote right-wing populist and economic nationalist groups in Europe that are opposed to the EU governments and political structures of Europe. Cheers, Pieter

A critical Ukrainian president, critical towards the West. Cheers, Pieter Jaga, Of course you are right. Today I begin to see three parties in this conflict. Ukraine which is directly threatened, the Russian Federation with it’s old Czarist Russia 🇷🇺 and SovietUnion mindset and the West with it’s old West European & American Cold War mindset. Again I want to state that this conflict has deep layers and goes back centuries and to the First- and Second World Wars. With the Donbas war (2014-today) looking like the Eastern Fronts of the First- and Second World Wars. I understand the present situation. U.S. President Joe Biden spoke at length Sunday with Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelensky yesterday about Russia's military buildup along Ukraine's borders, with the pair committing to pursue "diplomacy and deterrence," the White House said. Jaga I have some admiration for the statesmanship, wisdom, self restraint, discipline, calm and pragmatism of the Ukrainian president who is inbetween the West and East in a very difficult position. The position of China in the present day ‘Ukraine crisis’ is clearly a Pro-Russian one. In recent days, Beijing has called for calm on both sides and the end of a Cold War mentality, while also making it clear it supports Moscow's concerns. China's foreign minister Wang Yi called Russia's security concerns "legitimate", saying they should be "taken seriously and addressed". Coming at a time of burgeoning anti-West sentiment in China, the Ukraine crisis has been portrayed as yet another example of the West's failures. In the Chinese view, it is the US-led Nato that is acting the bully in refusing to respect the sovereign right of other countries, such as Russia and China, to defend their territory. Baltic leaders have been raising the alarm in recent days in meetings with NATO allies, warning that an ongoing Russian troop presence in Belarus would significantly shift the military balance of power toward Russia. They have called for additional NATO reinforcements along the alliance’s eastern flank to redress the imbalance. “The unprecedented mobilization of Russian troops in Belarus is of particular concern,” Lithuanian Prime Minister Ingrida Simonyte said a after recent meeting with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, according to statements quoted by the Lithuanian government’s press service. “It is very important for Lithuania to have an increased NATO partners’ presence in Lithuania,” she added. www.washingtonpost.com/world/2022/02/12/russia-baltics-nato-suwalki-gap/
