Jaga,
The Storm Eunice claimed it’s forth death in the Netherlands and one heavily wounded older woman from the Southern Netherlands.
In Poland 🇵🇱 three people were killed and 12 others injured after severe winds hit Poland this week, snapping trees, damaging roofs and disrupting power supplies, authorities said on Thursday evening.
Firefighters said they had been called out almost 13,000 times by 8 p.m. on Thursday to deal with the aftermath of gales in various regions across the country.
Powerful winds wreaked havoc in the western region of Wielkopolskie, the northwestern province of Zachodniopomorskie, and Dolnośląskie province in the southwest, Karol Kierzkowski, a spokesman for the State Fire Service, told reporters.
The gales also left a trail of destruction in the west-central region of Lubuskie and the central provinces of Łódzkie and Mazowieckie, according to officials.
The State Fire Service's Kierzkowski told the media the winds had destroyed the roofs of more than 500 buildings nationwide. In Dobrzyca, a small town in west-central Poland, an apparent twister damaged around 50 buildings, including more than a dozen homes, state news agency PAP reported.
More than 324,000 customers were left without electricity at one point after power lines were damaged in various areas of the country, the Government Centre for Security (RCB) reported.
A 64-year-old man died in the western town of Międzyrzecz after a car in which he was traveling was crushed by a falling tree. A woman was injured in similar circumstances in Tomaszowice near the eastern city of Lublin, public broadcaster Polish Radio’s IAR news agency reported.
In another incident caused by the extreme weather, two construction workers were killed and two others injured after a 30-metre crane collapsed in the southern city of Kraków on Thursday morning, officials told reporters.
Police were investigating the incident, the PAP news agency reported.

There are no trains running in the Netherlands on Saturday morning because of the damage caused by storm Eunice, which swept over the country on Friday, killing four people. Most of the problems have been caused by blown down trees and damage to overhead cables, railway infrastructure group ProRail said, adding that it will be Saturday afternoon at least before train services start up again. Some roads are also still closed while the clear-up operation to remove trees and vehicles continues, motoring organisation ANWB said. The KNMI weather bureau ended its code red weather warning around 2.30 am on Saturday, but said strong gusts of wind are still likely over much of the country in the first part of the day, apart from the far south. Strong winds are expected to return again on Sunday, the KNMI said. Insurance company Interpolis said on Friday evening it had already received 2,400 claims for damage caused by the storm, of which more than 90% related to housing. Jaga,
I had stay at my broadcast corporation for hours after my work due to the violent shaking large trees, breaking branches and I got an I-Phone alarm, Stay indoors, don't go outside! Poland has probably these same problems as the Netherlands with blocked roads and railway lines. Damaged houses and electricity lines.
Cheers, Pieter
