The Turkish developed TB2 Bayraktar is a remote drone that is relatively inexpensive in the manner of such sophisticated weapons. One that is within the ability of The Ukrainian Government to afford to add to its weapon arsenal.
The machine in self and capabilities is as shown in the following video:

Hello Karl,
I am quite curious about all this new military and reconnaissance equipment countries developed recently for the defense. Why Turkey is more friendly with Ukraine than with Russia? Did Russia take over of Crimea changed Turkey attitude? I realize that Turkey and Russia have not always friendly history but they have similar authoritarian governments.

Jaga You are most correct with your above assessment of both Turkey and Russia. The Turkish border touches both The Ukraine and Russian respectfully. Mr. Erdogan of Turkey apparently wishes to keep good relations with both Russia and The Ukraine in spite of the currant situation between them both. These first machines were first purchased by the former Ukrainian Government of a count of 20. This was before the currant situation of Russia and Ukraine. This were first transported to Poland then released to Ukraine. At present, Mr. Erdogan has given authority of more of these drones to be produced with release to The Ukrainian Government for their use. Karl

Hello Karl, I am quite curious about all this new military and reconnaissance equipment countries developed recently for the defense. Why Turkey is more friendly with Ukraine than with Russia? Did Russia take over of Crimea changed Turkey attitude? I realize that Turkey and Russia have not always friendly history but they have similar authoritarian governments. Jaga,
The Crimean Tatars are Turkic people and muslims. Crimean Tatars or Crimeans, are a Turkic ethnic group and nation who are an indigenous people of Crimea. The formation and ethnogenesis of Crimean Tatars occurred during the 13th–17th centuries, uniting Cumans that appeared in Crimea in the 10th century with other peoples who ever inhabited Crimea since ancient times and gradually underwent Tatarization, including the Greeks, Italians and Goths.
Crimean Tatars constituted the majority of Crimea's population from the time of ethnogenesis until the mid-19th century, and the largest ethnic population until the end of the 19th century. Almost immediately after the retaking of Crimea from Axis forces, in May 1944, the USSR State Defense Committee ordered the deportation of all of the Crimean Tatars from Crimea, including the families of Crimean Tatars serving in the Soviet Army. The deportees were transported in trains and boxcars to Central Asia, primarily to Uzbekistan. The Crimean Tatars lost 18 to 46 percent of their population as a result of the deportation, according to various estimates. Starting in 1967, a few were allowed to return and in 1989 the Supreme Soviet of the Soviet Union condemned the removal of Crimean Tatars from their motherland as inhumane and lawless, but only a tiny percent had been able to return before the full right of return in 1989.
The European Union as well as international indigenous groups do not dispute their status as an indigenous people and they have been officially recognized as an indigenous people of Ukraine as of 2014. The current Russian administration considers them to be a "national minority", but not an indigenous people, and continues to deny them as a titular people of Crimea, despite the Soviet Union considering them indigenous before their deportation and subsequent dissolution of the Crimean ASSR. Today, Crimean Tatars constitute approximately 15% of the population of Crimea. There remains a large diaspora in Turkey and Uzbekistan.
The Crimean Tatars have been members of the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO) since 1991.
248,193 Crimean Tartars live in Ukraine, 239,000 Crimean Tartars live in Uzbekistan, 50,000 to 6,000,000 Crimean Tartars live in Turkey, 24,137 Crimean Tartars live in Romania and 2,449 Crimean Tartars live in Russia, 1,803 Crimean Tartars live in Bulgaria, 1,532 Crimean Tartaris live in Kazakhstan and about 7,000 Crimean Tartars live in the USA. This is why Turkey is so involved with Crimea and Ukraine.
According to the United Nations and multiple NGOs, Russia is responsible for multiple human rights abuses, including torture, arbitrary detention, forced disappearances and instances of discrimination, including persecution of Crimean Tatars in Crimea since the illegal annexation.[266][267] The UN Human Rights Office has documented multiple human rights violations in Crimea. Noting that minority Crimean Tatars have been disproportionately affected.

The Tatars are one of the oldest ethnic groups in Crimea. And they're warning President Putin not to underestimate resistance to any Russian bid to take over the semi-autonomous region. Their historic ally Turkey, is closely watching events on the peninsula. Al Jazeera's Anita McNaught reports from Istanbul.
