Sought: The logistics side of the war in Ukraine | Bundeswehr Nothing works without #logistics, because troops on #deployment have to be supplied: from fuel and ammunition to food. Given its central location in Europe, what role does Germany play in moving troops to #NATO's eastern flank? Russian forces in Ukraine appear to be regrouping towards the east and south of the country: how challenging is that from a logistical point of view? How would Germany be logistically positioned in the event of national or alliance defense?
Lieutenant General Martin Schelleis, the inspector of the armed forces base and national territorial commander, answers these and other questions.

German Dutch NATo cooperation is useful today in Europe. Ofcourse the Dutch and Germans also work closely together with Poland.
On all levels the Dutch and Germans work closely together and are integrated. Our landforces, our Navies our Airforces, our police forces in the border area (with mixed Dutch-German police partrols), and the close cooperation between the Dutch foreign intelligence agecy AIVD and the German Bundesnachrichten dienst. Both the Dutch and Germans each have experience with the Polish, Czech, Slovak, Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Hungarian, Belgian, British, American, Canadian, French and Danish armed forces. The Dutch Marines have a long connection with the American Marines. A lot of Dutch Marines were trained and educated in Marine Corps combat technigues in the USA, and next to that are trained in the North of Norway in Arctic circumstances for a 'Winter war' and in Suriname and Panama for tropical rainforest area's and in the Sahara for desert combat. Next to that we have our Commando's (Green berets), and our Airborne Troops (who are trained in Arnhem North military facilities). I often see large black American military planes fly over Arnhem and Apache attack helicopters and Shinahook transport helicopters are not an unusual sight. Military road transports and train transports are usual things here in Arnhem. It is one of the 'militry' cities in the Netherlands. Artillery, Airborne troops, Military engineering, the regular army, training grounds.
Dutch army above Arnhem in the Northern Veluwe region
During my walks in the Arnhem North Veluwe, Park High Veluwe, I often hear heavy machine gun fire and explosions of grenades. Lately I think about Ukraine when I hear these sounds. I am safe, but the citizens of Ukraine are not.

Pieter Your presentation has brought forward quite a number if both interesting and yet very important situations that effect a great deal upon our respective safety and approach to an unwanted but possible war time conflict in our time. Yes, our two respective countries do indeed work closely together in as well to our respected Democratic allies. For yes, in past our respective economies have shifted by necessity from our respective military budgets, to other issues by necessity. For as of these, we have been approached by new issues that have come to our respective horizons such as the recent Russian invasion of Ukraine in as well as Russian proposals to other situations once they have completed their currant mission in Ukraine, this of course is as it is at present a bit shaky. Commensurate with above, has given cause for a change in our respective budgets for concentration in rebuilding and up grading our respective military capabilities to meet most any foreign military challenge that would approach us. With this, you have covered very well with a great deal of personal research, intrinsic knowledge and presentations that are very greatly appreciated. But it is not just our selves with cooperation, but a great deal of thanks to Poland with their cooperation in conjunction with Americans to do the exchange of their M1 tanks to Poland for transfer at their risk, of T-72 tanks to The Ukrainian government. It is to the importance of mutual cooperation between our mutual Democratic friends to stand together as one against an aggressor that would poise a risk to our respective way of life. In the matter of logistics that was described in the video described under Bundeswehr was very telling. For all militaries are dependent upon the supply chain that is logistics. For most all militaries depend upon not only the necessities of life, but for their weapons and equipment. All supplied through logistics. www.heritage.org/military-strength-topical-essays/2019-essays/logistics-the-lifeblood-military-powerKarl
