Pieter As a response to this situation of Russian tanks blowing their lids when hit is a nasty system of engineering write offs between crew/machine safety. For to lower the stance of the vehicle, they have engineered the vehicle with an auto-loading system in the turret for the main gun [cannon], this though not allowing for safety steel enclosures for the ammunition in the design. The cause and effect is once a round has penetrated in to the hull, it will light off one or more of the exposed ammunition causing a detonation effect with the remainder stored ammunition to light off to the effect of destruction of the entire machine and of course the crew do not survive. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10762427/The-Russian-tank-design-flaw-makes-mobile-coffins-multiple-shells-stored-together.htmlKarl
