Please with my reply do not think my self am trying to be a know it all, for this is not the case but only if need be of understanding the mechanism and how it is used as a weapon.
Please note the separate projectile that is first placed upon the loader/carrier rack. This in self is a safety mechanism to prevent accidents and related injuries. The other observation of note, is the projectile is separate followed by the precast propellant that is pushed in to the firing chamber. In this manner, the gun {cannon} is firing caseless ammunition that not only is cost effective and with out the cumbersome shell casing to deal with.
