how do you all feel about covid? I apologize for not writing for the last three days, but I just go covid. I felt the first symptoms during the travel back from Montreal to Idaho Falls via Dallas/Fort Worth Texas. The travel day was grueling, I felt terrible, but I was not the first one. John got covid probably in Montreal earlier on. He felt bad first. We got tested yesterday and today - today even Ela tested positive.
John is getting better, I am in the middle with high fever, cough and being lightheaded, Ela is still in the beginning.
There are some reports that covid case for the newest omicron version are on the rise. We all were doubly vaccinated and boosted, but this is what life brings.
I believe that John got covid in Quebec City since it was very crowded during the celebration of Canada Day on July 1st.

There are some reports that covid case for the newest omicron version are on the rise. We all were doubly vaccinated and boosted, but this is what life brings. I believe that John got covid in Quebec City since it was very crowded during the celebration of Canada Day on July 1st. Jaga, my partner and I had covid a few months ago. Both of us had mild cases. She suffered a few days of severe migraine headaches, to which she is very susceptible, and I had three days of sore throat. Both of us slept a great deal for 2 days and long periods for many more days as we felt exhausted. But by the end of the mandatory isolation I was feeling very good and finished the restricted period waiting for the clock to run out, restrictions to end. Her mother and the cousin who stepped in with MomCare also came down with covid, and both came through well. The 96 year old mother was taken to the hospital and given a monoclonal infusion. It worked so well that the following weeks she was full of energy and activity well beyond her normal level. No wonder Trump came out of the hospital so sassy and full of BS when he was treated with it. None of us had any lung or breathing problems. So that is a happy story! Kai

Dear Jaga,
I hope ypu, John and Ela recover soon. A girlfriend of mine from the South had Covid too without knowing it and infected her mother in the West. But they recovered after a few days. The mother was really ill but daughter had very mild symptoms. I really hope you all recover soon and get back to normal. Take the advice of Ron at heart, sleep a lot and find a way to get through the restricted period.
Cheers, Pieter

Jaga, John, Ela Kai and Partner
I am so sorry each of you has suffered this Covid business. With all the conditions in life we must deal with, this is something we all do not need. My self am very happy for one and each of you to be recovering for this is a good thing.
My self? I simply do not know, some days I feel cranky and loused, then come out of the following day.

Kai, Pieter, Karl,
thank you for news and empathy. I think we have mild cases, although considering 2 vaccines and 1 followup I don't want to speculate what would happen if our bodies would not have extra protection. John does not have fever anymore, just cough; my fever is down, I have just cough and sinus problem; Ela is undergoing the worst phase now. She has a high fever and her sore throat is really scratchy, lets hope she would go through it with no complications.
We try to not infect the house, so that our cats would not get it

Jaga,
Thank god you have mild cases. Live healthy take time to cure properly. It is good to hear that John has not got fever anymore. It is good news that your fever is down. I hope that Ela's situation will improve soon. I hope with you that your daughter will go through this serious situation with no complications.
Stay positive, have the spirit and strength of togetherness as a family and get through this together. I really hope that the situation of Ela will improve soon. Let's hope for the best and let time and health heal her with some rest, good medicine, a lot of sleep and good food and drinks (water, tea, juice) and maybe some good hot soup?
Cheers, Pieter

Kai, we did not really have migraines, the cough is probably the worst long term effect together with a lack of energy. I do things slower and I am more fatigued. My brother who had covid before vaccinations were available told me that he could not really walk on the stairs for a long time and the long walks were very exhausting.
I have heard that many people have similar effects
