I am so happy for her and for Poland. She had a great season earlier this year, she won French Open but then she had some lower days. Now she won in great style with a respected competition: Jabeur, a 28-year-old from Tunisia, is the first African woman and first Arab woman to reach a Grand Slam final. Here is info. I watched the parts of the game and it was amazing: www.npr.org/2022/09/10/1122237392/iga-swiatek-us-open-tennis-women-singles-championshipIga Swiatek wins her first U.S. Open, cementing herself as a new top figure in tennis

it is also refreshing since Iga is not only one of the youngest winners (Shrapova from Russia was the only one), but she is mentally tough. She compliments her opponents and never makes excuses. She has a class, is good mannered, and her couches do not act very emotionally, which is also refreshing.
