Maxima changes the Orange Nassau family blood line for a great deal. That bloodline was very German and Dutch with some Romanov Russian elements. Maxima added Portuguese, Italian, Basque and Argentinian blood to that family. The daughters of Willem Alexander and Maxima, Catharina-Amalia Beatrix Carmen Victoria (born 7 december 2003) (Princes of Orange) Alexia Juliana Marcela Laurentien (26 juni 2005) and Ariane Wilhelmina Máxima Ines (10 april 2007) have that blood line. Pieter
You are most fortunate to have such a delightful and attractive Royal family for The Netherlands.

Pieter, thanks for giving us the opportunity to understand the Dutch monarchy better. I like queen Maxima, Is King Wilem Alexander her equal or more important? Somehow he seems to sit and smile mainly...

Jaga,
They are an equal pair, and for the first time in the Dutch history they were called King and Queen. The Husband of Willem Alexanders mother Princess Beatrix, the former Queen Beatrix was called Prins Claus, her grandfather Prins Bernhard was the husband of Queen Juliana, the mother of Beatrix, the mother of Queen Juliana was the War Queen, Queen Wilhelmina. Willem Alexander and Maxima are equals and a team. Maxima has clearly more charisma and maybe a large international business network due to her private past as a civilian working in the Financial world.
Cheers, Pieter

Hello Pieter, I am just watching your last video about Dutch queens. It is amazing! Women usually live longer than men and they have usually a broader perspective.
