Reports that a missile or rocket has hit Poland next to the Ukrainian border. So far state department and news haven't been able to confirm.
Polish government meeting on this.

What we as people have been hearing is a string of propaganda from the Ukrainian side once again to propagate the Americans in to attacking Russia. What actually occurred was the missile was fired by a Ukrainian crew that misfired and strayed onto polish soil.
It was surprising to myself of an American news source to bring this out into the light as follows:
The original news stories was not only reckless speculation bordering upon outright lies, but dangerous to say of least. It would now be most appropriate for the Polish Government to post an apology for all to view for such over acting with out first proper investigation. The American President though, was more intelligent in his view that there was a mistake with an unintended missile strike as occurred upon Polish soil. It would so appear upon the reality of this event, both the Ukrainians and Polish are so guilty in jumping to an irrational conclusion of Russian missile strike.

Karl,
The reactions of the Polish president and prime minister were rather moderate and with restraint. Also NATO’s reaction was realistic, serious and with restraint.

This attack happened in a village near the eastern boarder. Two real people died. But it is assumed that Russia did not plan to target Poland, so probably nothing would be done

Pieter It was very thoughtful and good with your reply and much appreciated. For as myself, I hold no vested interest for interdiction upon the behalf of Russia, they can speak for themselves. In as well as the Ukrainian side, my sympathies are with the people that have and continue to suffer such from the effects of this conflict. In of their government, I would tend to believe the West such as ourselves had best be careful of them, for their leadership would enjoy most to draw us into their current conflict against their Russian aggressor. This then to use us as their umbrella as a club against the Russians. We must consider the manner of the American government using Poland as their staging ground in the manner of their ongoing political conflict with the Russian Federation as a one upmanship. Time and events have changed over the years with the American foreign policy of Europe. It is no longer noble, but quite political with an agenda that is not in our favour. Nor is the Ukrainian agenda in our favour, but to the opposite, for remember, the Ukrainian Government has been at war for about 8 years against those that even though of as citizens of Ukraine but speak the Russian language as their native language. Of course, there is much more to this as an Ukrainian internal affairs issue that is theirs. My self am not sure how much the public understands how Western technology is and has been for some many years have operated in the Russian Federation for their industry {German} transportation technology. For in the manner of business interest, this has been very profitable until of late between Russian, German and even American shared technology. If there is a conflict between the two states of The Russian Federation and Ukraine, well then so be it, for the best and most obvious is to allow the process of diplomatic resources be placed into effect. Military advisors of all three sides {American, Russian and Ukrainian} and their respective Generals deal exclusively in war, for that is their business and what keeps them their jobs. It is to the civilian leadership of authority to make the governmental decisions and as necessary as the situation evolves.
