Christine McVie 1943 – 2022Christine Anne McVie (née Perfect; 12 July 1943 – 30 November 2022[) was an English musician and the vocalist and keyboardist of Fleetwood Mac, which she joined in 1970. She also released three solo albums. Her lyrics focused on love and relationships. Steve Leggett of AllMusic described her as an "unabashedly easy-on-the-ears singer/songwriter, and the prime mover behind some of Fleetwood Mac's biggest hits". Eight songs written or co-written by her, including "Don't Stop", "Everywhere" and "Little Lies", appeared on Fleetwood Mac's 1988 Greatest Hits album.
In 1998, McVie was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of Fleetwood Mac, and received the Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music. The same year, after almost 30 years with the band, she opted to leave and lived in semi-retirement for nearly 15 years. She released a solo album in 2004. In September 2013 she appeared on stage with Fleetwood Mac at the O2 Arena in London, before rejoining the band in 2014 prior to their On with the Show tour.
In 2006, McVie received a Gold Badge of Merit Award from Basca, now The Ivors Academy. In 2014, she received the Ivor Novello Award for Lifetime Achievement from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers and Authors and was honoured with the Trailblazer Award at the UK Americana Awards in 2021. She was also the recipient of two Grammy Awards.

Folks,
My favoite Fleetwood Mac song is the melancholic song Sarah. Which I listened to a lot as a teenager during the eighties and later in the nineties. And also in the 21th century. It is like you are driving through a landscape of memories while dreaming. A wonderful song, lead vocals, tack piano by Stevie Nicks and Christine McVie's keyboard and piano playing and backing vocals.

Pieter, I also liked Fleetwood Mac and this song "Sarah" was also my favorite. All of us are getting older... hard to imagine that she was in her 70s. At least it looks that she was active almost till the end.

Pieter
Gollies, it has been so many years in far past of Fleetwood Mac. I simply do not remember Christine McVie, but remember well Stevie Nicks for her singing. In far past also, I did have several of their albums with Stevie Nicks as vocals and replayed them many times. Over the years, these albums through the process of some various relocations were lost and who knows where.
