I really was fond of her in Cheers, especially in het interactions with Sam Malone (played by Ted Danson). I have seen nearly every episode of Cheers. Loved the characters of Diane Chambers (Shelly Long), Carla Tortelli (Rhea Perlman), Woody Boyd (Woody Harrelson), Frasier Crane (Kelsey Grammer), Dr. Lilith Sternin-Crane (Beatrice 'Bebe' Neuwirth), Ernie 'Coach' Pantusso (Nicholas Colasanto), and the guys who visited the bar and were there always sitting in the bar Norm Peterson (George Robert Wendt), and Postman Cliff Clavin (John Deszo Ratzenberger). I watched nearly every episode of Cheers and later Frasier.

Pieter
Such shame for the known world to lose such a fine person as Ms. Alley. My self only remember her from her role in the series star Trek. She was impressive then, other than this short narrow glimpse from myself is all I may attribute. Yours was very impressive and very complete of the life and career of this fine person, the world has lost a valuable member to the angel of death.

Pieter, thanks for bringing info about Alley.
Alley was an interesting and strong woman, a good actress and she was not afraid of saying what she thinks. This is really unusual for instance in Idaho where women are usually very soft-spoken.
