I am starting to like Halloween thanks to my daughter who likes it. It is a fun for kids. But this day is SO DIFFERENT in their atmosphere compared to All Saints Day. I definitively miss the atmosphere of the All Saints Day from Poland! here are some articles about All Saints Day with the photos: culture.polishsite.us/smculturefr.htm#ALSAINTS

some people exaggerate with Halloween, our neighbors have the pseudo-graves for their family members. I need to make a picture I will show it to you.
I would not like to have a grave in front of my house with the inscription: "here is Jaga"

Jaga I just drove down a street yesterday that each house had a great front yard. (probably each trying to outdo each other) I'll see if I can get some photos tomorrow (was planning on it as it is in the neighborhood. I think you are either in the spirit or not. If you are you can have lots of fun. The kids do the trick or treating. Adults do parties or young adults go out dressed up to the local bars dressed up. All another day for a reason to have fun. That's basically what it is all about.
(another good one I saw was walking into a small shop and they had a skelleton standing behind the counter posed as if he was waiting on you...that was great too and unexpected)
.!.!.!.!.!.!.!

Why do we have to choose between them? I enjoy the fun of Halloween and some degree of spookiness, but I also like the spirit of All Saints' Day. Wish ours in the US was a little more like Poland's.

Jeanne you are absolutely correct. That is why I voted other. Why not both. Although here in the states it is just celebrated as a church Holiday.

Jeanne and Chris,
I thought originally that it would be nice to be able to chose more options but I am not sure how to do it....

I know how to add more entries to a poll in the newer version of the software. I can't find any way to edit the poll above so I can't even take a look at how this one works.

By the way. My recent blog post is about this subject - scatts.wordpress.com/ and it includes a link to your site Jaga! Not sure that is likely to increase traffic much though!

Are these questions then like a template already made up. If not then just adjust it so we "have I like both".

Scatts I read your blog about time change. I thought it was just in the US . Here it won't be till next week ever since they changed it last year. Why they bother to jerk us around and throwing everyones body clocks off and into oblivion is beyond me. I don't feel it accomplishes any time savings only shifts it to another time. (my auto change clocks no longer work since chip is before time change) Just another way for the government to show how stupid and thoughless they are. ....maybe time to move to Arizona where they ignore this rule.

Ian (Jasiu),
thanks. I am not sure I saw your blog before. We definitively need to include the link to your blog in my website somewhere.

All Saints Day is too gloomy for Americans.
Mockery helps them keep certain morose thoughts away.

Here is the house I mentioned earlier. From this photo to the end are shots I took today. (10) The ones before are from last year and the year before so ignore them.
