The day I start to smell like moth balls, ben-gay and depends please shoot me. I wear Tresor and all always complement me when I wear it. I worked with a guy that thought he smelled great with his after shave...you could smell him a mile away. The rule is if you smell it on yourself you are wearing too much. Perfume is based on one's body chemistry and that changes along with the ole factory. We want to "attract" not "unattract. Throw that Old Spice away.

Throw that Old Spice away. ha ha shoot me now...I am kinda fond of the smell of moth balls. Granted it maybe irritating to some, but that smell reminds me of the past and it does help keep bugs away from your stored items. Another thing that it keeps away are skunks. We were having problems with skunks coming in our backyard. A huge undeveloped(land locked) field backs our property. The skunks came up from the woods into the yard and tried to seek shelter under our house. Our dog would tango with the skunks-had to bathe her I don't know how many times... Well, husband bought a gun to shoot the varmints. But we both were very uneasy having the gun in the house. So we returned the gun to the store. We had to find a deterrent for the skunks. Knowing that dogs and cats don't like the smell of mothballs(gardeners sometimes put mothballs in their gardens to deter animals) I thought maybe the mothballs would deter the skunks. That's what I did, I lined the fence line with mothballs. Used 3 boxes. It was a sight to see these white dots going down the property line...but ya know we didn't see any skunks after that either.

To all,
Mothballs will keep many things away, even moths. They don't cost much and work. I use them, outside, in many places, but have to replace them often.
