Hi guys, I may stop sending newsletter individually to everybody from the list. First of all, we have over a couple of thousands of subscribers and.... when I send the newsletter it is treated like a junk by many people. Many people probably never even see it. I also have more and more troubles to send it from any of the accounts I own. Originally I was sending is from our website infinology account but I cannot do it anymore. The service provider just does it not let me sending e-mails in big numbers. Yesterday I sent the newsletter from my personal account and after that... my e-mail and my newsletter was disabled for several hours. Probably they thought that I am sending spam.... I think, I will be just posting the newsletter here in the forum hoping that people interested in any events which are related to Polish culture would come here and read. It takes really a long time to add new members to the list. Many people signed through the sweepstakes. I am wondering how useful my work is (I spend several hours just to upgrading the list recently)

Jaga
Speaking for my self only...For why not to keep it simple, place upon the open forum the news letter. For most members are to access the forum regardless of rather they received the news letter on personal e-mail.
In this manner, it keeps the work load down and increases productivity. {more time to think}.

Charles that works for us but there are many out there that may have come here to the forum or website and then forgot to come back. The newsletter will be a reminder and alert to those. On us it is a duplicate step and more work but not to the others out there we don't know about. I get one from a website I visit very rarely and when I do get it I always stop by to see what is new.
Not sure how Jaga is sending out the newsletter but I was always under the assumption it is sent as a newsgroup which is not done via regular email and one must sign up for it. With so much spam mail now many programs have built in filter which don't always work as we would like them to like blocking mail we actually want.

Chris, Charles,
I will see what other options are available. Usually after sending a newsletter I see a spike in statistics, so it seems that some people read it still.

Chris and all,
thanks again for your input. I just tried to figure out how the mailing lists work and I think, there will be the way to send the newsletter through the mailing list of my website provider. So this would be done more professionally then before. People should also have the option to subscribe and unsubscribe automatically

Jaga, Would it help if you sent everyone a link to the newsletter rather than the full newsletter? That way you might have less trouble of it being considered "spam" and also drive people to the website as well. I'm not sure if it would solve the problem - just one of my random thoughts. ;D

Holly, this is also a good solution, but if people would not see anything in the newsletter just a link... they would be probably too lazy to look around. Still, this may teach me how to put maximum information with minimum words
