This new forum is like moving into a new big house - I am running around checking out all the goodies. Adding a link is easy with the little button that look slike a globe. culture.polishsite.us/Here is one of those cute Poliosh hens: Hmmm, maybe this should be my avatar??

Maybe I should use the spell check function to avoid those typos?

The type is a little small, especially in the quote box. To make the message size bigger, use the button marked with a black "A". Then change the size. This post is size=3.

Wow - it all looks good. Well done you two. I think I saw somewhere that this new forum would accept Polish diacritics. I assume when sent as a posting using a Polish keyboard. I have them on Word, so I'll just try this out: ¥ ç ³ ¿ - it worked ok to here - will it post? Oh ye of little faith! Good forum-ing to everybody. I see also that if I email you a photo, Nancy, you can add it for me - I wonder if I dare!!! Leslie - once a shark, once a jellyfish, now a Newbie again!!

As you will see, my attempt at using Polish diacritics failed. Do you need a Polish keyboard? I can insert the diacritics into a Word document (using an English keyboard), so then I did this and tried pasting them over to my posting = wrong type of symbols appeared. Any advice anybody? Leslie

OK I just switched to mz Slovak kezboard... +¾šèžýáíé=´òúäô§,.- I am leaving that as it was typed. The z and y are reversed from the US kezboard, and I ran across what are the numbers on the US kezboard but should show the following letters with diacritics" +lsctzaie='nuao and the "law paragraph" symbol. All fine on my display, now to see how it displays once posted. Kai As you will see, my attempt at using Polish diacritics failed. Do you need a Polish keyboard? So the Slovak keyboard publishing seemed only a partial success. It looks like we have much to discover on this new board!
Kai
PS I am trying the "modify" button to edit this post. I have a Slovak keyboard that I can software-switch between English, German and Slovak. Using an American keyboard with the software switch leaves out perhaps two of the lettrs teh Slovak board offers.

oh brother, I thought I was posting the codes you have to use, and lo and behold, they showed up as the fonts themselves. I will put spaces in the first one::
& # 2 8 0 ; & # 2 8 1 ; big and small e with a tail

Ę is what you get when you take the spaces out. Is this what is called unicode?
Leslie, Kai, glad to see you here! ;D

Leslie, Click "General Board" at the top of this page. There you will see (in admitedly small type): "new thread" - choose that to start a new topic.
