according to mass media: (maybe I should say "mad" media since this is how I sometimes type the word by mistake...)
For Israel to attack Syrian nuclear facility is justifable because of the Israel security
now - think a bit: Israel has about 170 nuclear weapons and Israel did not ask anybody for consensus to build is, oficially nobody knows anything about it... even nuclear inspectors do not go there
++++
can you imagine the situation if.... Syria will have all this weapons and then it would dare to attack Israel who just tried to build one?

another hypocrisy:
for America it was OK to invade Iraq without a reason. Today presidential candidate Huckabee was arguing that the weapons of mass destruction were not found but if we would not go and Iraq will have them... then we will be in trouble - so many "IF".
For Israel it was OK to invade Lebanon (after two soldiers were kidnapped)
but for Turkey it is not OK to invae Kurdystan (after several people were killed on Turkish side)...by the way I am not a Turkey friend
but.... why the same situation is treated differently? Because Kurdistan is in American hands...

It seems that the only two countries in the world which have more rights than anybody else is the US and Israel. Both of these countries are the HOLY COWS, they can do anything they want to other countries and it is always justified by the security of their own people.
But if any other country dare to question them or do anything in response to them - they are the mortal enemies.

Jaga
I do wish to speak openly, but do not wish to appear as a American or Israeli Basher, for I do not wish to be so, for each are a good and just people.
As a person. I am very pro-Israel and very pro-America, it is just I do not like what they do.
But, you have broached upon a valid point. For it is true by simple logic, the two most dangerous countries in the Middle East are those two you have mentioned. For by simple virtue by the recent history of invasions and military intervention.
The many past schools dealing with social control/social conflict resolution {riot control}/personal weapons and use / use of deadly force in personal defense/offense. Were taught in Israeli operated schools. Reason-the Israelis are the most experienced and have the most up-to-date instruction. But, this experience was gained at the expense of the neighbouring countries and by virtue of the history of Israel.
As an addition: Some thing rather un-heard of, the Americans are experiencing a Diplomatic revolt, with mass refusal of diplomatic service {career civil service} to man the embassie in Iraq. The threat to those of refusal is:
1st) upon notification, prepare for transfer to Iraq station as assigned.
2nd) Upon refusal of assignment, letter of recall will be forwarded with requirement of justification of refusal of assignment. To be then given a timely manner of reply to office of issue. If that of refusal is maintained. Then remedial action will be instituted and placed into immediate action.
Remedial action may/will be of possible dismissal with out those privileges accorded of professional standing. Or, possible fine/imprisonment as determined by final authority.

Hello Charles,
I have heard that there is a problem with sending voluntarily dyplomats to Iraq. I also do not want to sound like anti-American and anti-Israeli. I understand that for Israel to exist - this country needs a help, but sometimes it looks like they believe as a naughty child that knows that his mom (the US) would always love and protect him above all.

It was interesting because just after I wrote about hipocrisy we went to the church and the reading in the church was about ...hipocrisy and people who feel overly righteous: It is from Luke 18: The Parable of the Pharisee and the Tax Collector 9To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: 10"Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.' 13"But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.'
14"I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

Neither am I, Jaga. We eat one every year for Christmas!
On the other points, I more or less agree with you and I suppose it is this "attitude" that contributes to making both those countries top of the terrorist's target list.
I can understand the attitude of both the USA and Israel in looking after their own interests but the hypocrisy, uneven handling of similar situations, does nothing to win friends and influence people.
Get some troops into Burma and help those monks, for example. Then I might take you seriously as 'leaders of the free world'.

The only issue is the oil and the profits from it. Forget about human rights, genocide, WMD, etc. If there are billions to be made in the control and production of oil, that is the bottom line. Toss in a few additional elements like Islamic zealots, the politics of terrorism, the nievitie and bias of the American religious right and you have a first class war. God help us all
