Pawi It is always good to see your illuminating photos and read your descriptions of your Polish culture - this is the major aim for which I joined the forum. Although personally very interesting about the mushrooms and their gathering etc., I'm afraid this account would not go well with either of my two successive families; the first. mother and daughter, and the second, mother and two sons. everyone of them hated mushrooms and I was only given permission to cook mushrooms when they were out of the house!! Leslie ps. Incidentally you start your 'yesterday at 8.56pm' posting with """Old Slavic people believed that the woods was a magical place."""I regret having to correct your English as I know you are so proud of it (but why?) as the Sentence should read """Old Slavic people believed that the woods were magical places.""" ;D ;D ;D Leslie, and which is correct? the pine forests is a healthy place or the pine forests are healthy places??

Lavia
I think even Pawi would find these fairly simple!! ;D
Lavia asked:
"""Leslie, and which is correct?
the pine forests is a healthy place or the pine forests are healthy places??"""
In English, the case of the verb is determined by the case of the subject of the sentence (singular or plural - in this case plural). So, in your example, the correct version would be:
""The pine forests are healthy places."" (the case of the verb agrees by also being plural)
OK?

Livia and we never will. He was caught in the forest picking these mushrooms when the wicked witch of the forest caught him and asked " What are you doing stealing my Polish Mushrooms." Did you ask permission to enter my forest and gather them......not. Fot this I will cast a spell on you and with the wave of her wand she made him invisible. The only thing that can break this spell is a horny old toad with a kiss on the lips. Of course this is most unexcepable by Pawian so he wanders aimlessly invisible to us all. But every once in awhile we will get a glimps of part of him. So if you should see a pair of hairy legs with shocking blue socks and Nike sneakers..beware. ;D ;D ;D

I made a hasty mistake, indeed, I didn`t think at all. What a shame! Good there is someone who isn`t afraid and takes time to correct me. We need more people like that! But.... An old English proverb tells us to scratch somebody`s back after ours has been scratched. So, I presume you will be glad to be reminded that if you decide to correct anybody, you have to set an immaculate example yourself. And your writing isn`t immaculate by any means! HAH! hahahahaha What do I mean? You have obvious problems with punctuation: E.g., capital letters: everyone of them hated mushrooms ps. Commas: Incidentally you start your Also, your writing is obscure at times, e.g., I was only given permission to cook mushrooms when they were out of the house!! hahahahahaha Don`t worry, it`s not a crying shame to commit such trivial errors, you are not a teacher of English, just a trainer! hahahahaha I only pointed them out to you in case some pedantic guy came here and started seriously critisizing your writing.

Did you ask permission to enter my forest and gather them......not. Fot this I will cast a spell on you and with the wave of her wand she made him invisible. This is pure abstraction, of course. The witch isn`t wicked but she is a fairy. She doesn`t say what you suggest but instead she says: What is this handsome muscular boy who is wandering through my forest? Is it Prince Charming? And then she invites him to her palace in order to do some check-up. That is the true story. Hairy, yes. But socks are black and no Nike sneakers, only some no-name trainers. In order not to flabbergast forest demons, one should wear casual, even worn-out clothes.

More great fotos Pawian. I see your lightning. I have been trying to capture a lightning foto for ever...always elusive to me. I went on a shooting spree, sitting under some cover and taking photos one by one. Thunders were rumbling one after another too so we finally reached an agreement and the successful photo was taken. OK, I will tell you this: I should put it to you that mining on a planetary rock-pile like Mars will be of no practical environmental consequence to anybody. If we are going to become too precious about something like that, we may as well abandon all pretence of terraforming in any way, shape or form because terraforming will have infinitely more impact on the present appearance of Mars than any conceivable mining program. What you think?

Forget about Mars for awhile I'll get back to it later. In the meantime I was watching a game show and got a wrong answer. It appears there is a desert in Europe. Where may I ask, oh Wise one. Is it that Trans subterranean something or other they were referring to? ?
