One of the last thing which scared me and made me thing twice about coming back to Poland are the Polish airports. We had to be three hours ahead of time in the airports and we barely made it. It was just so crowded, hard to imagine. We had several controls, especially since there were special precautions after the terroristic attack in GB. The airplane had a delay because we had to wait in several lines, no any order, no any sense. The buses were also late to get us to the plane, we were waiting in the bus who knows for what. It is all due to the fact that there is much more airplane connections, new cheap lines operate in Europe but the airport space did not increase at all. I just found one of the new articles in the Polish newspaper which explain the situation pretty well. It is in Polish: gospodarka.gazeta.pl/gospodarka/1,33211,4321821.html I hare the airports. In the past the airports symbolized the luxury and the elegance. When I was entering the Warsaw Airport I felt lthat this is a feast time. It was the foreroom to a better world, not anymore. Znienawidzi³em lotniska. Kiedyœ by³y dla mnie symbolem luksusu i elegancji. Wkracza³em na Okêcie z poczuciem œwiêta. To by³ przedsionek lepszego œwiata.

I am with you on flying, I really do hate to fly! My previous trip was with Air Canada and although even with the convenience of going through the merchant window for the ticket. It was still the hassle of compliance with security measures.
I really do feel that with the terror suspects arrested, the authorities should place those people in the aircraft wheel gear space and give them the ride of their life, for making ours so miserable.

Please don't say bad things about flying. I'll start thinking of the Gestapo lady in the Warsaw Airport again. Talk about rude.

Well, I have never flown from or to Okecie in Warsaw, I guess I'm lucky. Poznan Lawica Airport is able to handle this little traffic as there is. At least so far. Mostly I have flown from Berlin airports either Tegel or Schonefeld - both are clean, well-managed - for me it's still pleasure to fly. Another thing - the delays are not longer than 40 minutes. Only the security measures, sometimes ridiculous for me, are a nuisance. Whenever I know I can expect long lines, i take a book with me and it's OK.
