is a Slovak book about Fujara music in the Slovak / Polish highlands. I have heard the sound compared to the Australian Digerie. What is the Polish name for this instrument? Some background at www.martinu.jp/thefujara.htmlwith some good photos, Some music to play at bluyovo.misto.cz/_MAIL_/The word _fujara_ reached Slovakia with the Wallachian shepherding immigrants from the Romanian Carpathians, especially in the 14th-15th centuries. Related words for a variety of flutes are used in many countries in the region, from Poland to Croatia, from Hungary to Albania. A Slovak fujara starred in the English novel The Piper on the Mountain. Kai

Hej Kai! Yesterday I checked out the links you posted, and enjoyed the music. As near as I can tell (intensive googling), this instrument is called by the same name in Poland. I guess maybe the Poles do not read this section (Except for Aadam and forza in books).
