This morning I toasted our dear friend and tried to remember all the good things. I will miss Sir Leslie. God speed and rest knowing the world is and was a better place for your time here.

Sad news. He always seemed like a very nice man and a "bit of a character" as we English would say. I was looking forward to meeting him on his next trip to Poland but sadly he didn't make it. We would almost certainly have met when I next took the family to England for a longer break. This is going to be between 18th - 27th July but now I'll have a pint for Leslie on my own.
From November 2007
Hi Ian Just a quickie. By all means let me know when you are next in Ilkeston - it's only 30 miles down the motorway from Killamarsh. I would be delighted to meet you - we could have lunch and a pint at your favourite pub there! Leslie
