When I was in Poland we treated Inka as a coffee for a poor. Inka was cheaper and was available for everybody, whereas a regular coffee was very expensive, especially when our currency was struggling. I bought 2 bottles of coffee Inka recently and I find it very tasty. This coffee is caffeine free since its main ingredients include: roasted barley, rye, chicory, beet roots. It is very tasty and I can drink it at night! Here is how it looks: coolspotters.com/food/kawa-inka

Mary, I like Inka very much. I am not sure that it is a great idea to drink it in the evening. I drunk it yesterday night and I had a hard time to go to sleep So, maybe these beets have some caffeine or other poison in them?

Jaga, It could be that it's so healthy, full of vitamins and such, that it is keeping you awake. I know it's recommended when taking vitamins to not take in evening. Is there a list of ingredients and nutritional values printed on the bottle? Mary

Sounds like the German ersatz coffee made from acorns. I think I'll give it a miss!

Jaga, I agree! Cofeee is not dangerous if you drink about 100 ml coffeine in day (read about healthy amounts of coffee here). My daily coffee intake is about 2-3 cups per day.

Your absolutely correct. Three cups of coffee are essential. 1st cup starts your heart 2nd cup wakes up your brain and 3rd cup you can enjoy !!!!

I, on the other hand, have searched high and low and can't find it anywhere except on-line. No local stores in the area claim it.

I am glad you guys revitalized this topic. I think Inka is great and coffee is good in moderation. I have to have at least 1 cup of coffee a day, but if I have 3 it is too much.

Usually it takes about three mugs of morning coffee to get my motor going. Then once at work, a quick cup to read the morning reports and then dig into what the day holds. Karl

Karl, I hope that your blood pressure is still OK. Mexican coffee is probably very good, but I could not drink that much. I love coffee aroma.
