No doubt there will be even more horror graphic scenes coming out of that stricken island, with some estimates to as much as HALF MILLION DEAD

There seems to be no any functioning government in Haiti. This is really sad. Haiti for a long time was considered the poorest country of Western Hemisphere but - this is even doubly tragic now.

Just an awful terrible way to start the new decade. Kind of reminds you of 911.

interesting video. I do agree with Robertson in one aspect. Maybe there would be something good from it. Haiti is not a modern state in any way. It is the most regressed state in the middle of Carabean which develops constantly. We were in Cancun, we saw how this region changed rapidly.
THe government there did not have any plan in case of the disaster. They all just escaped....
Maybe the international help will help enough not only to build better houses but allow this people to live a better life, not only primitive farming, dirt cookies and woodo magic.
Rush Limbaugh complains that Obama uses it for political reason is ridiculous. It can be conteracted by saying that somehow GOP was using this underpants bomber for its political reasons also.

I agree with O'Reilly that something needs to be done to fight corruption in Haiti in order to help this nation

I agree with O'Reilly that something needs to be done to fight corruption in Haiti in order to help this nation I suppose we can go with the "Nation Building" concept we are fighting so hard for in Iraq and Afghanistan & do the same in Haiti. Only this time we can turn it over to the UN and let them proceed to build the One World Government. Now to bring an end to Somalia Pirate situation we need only to send in an air craft carrier and bomb every house and Villa in Somalia that is big and expensive. The surviving ruling warlords will get the message and pull their sailors off the seas & find a new way to steal money. Another way that would keep BlackWater, BlackGuard and other mercenaries happy would be to fully utilize the US Constitution and grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal. Article I, Section 8, paragraph 11 of the U.S. Constitution authorizes Congress to "grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make rules concerning captures on land and water." A "reprisal" means an action taken in return for some injury. A reprisal could be a seizing of property or guilty persons in retaliation for an attack and injury. It could include forced used against the perpetrators for the redress of grievances. A reprisal could even involve killing a terrorist who is threatening further harm and cannot be captured. All Constitutional & good for Free Enterprise! Kai

;D ;D Face it! Pat Robertson is just an old fool and we must have someone or something to laugh at just to keep our sanity. ;D

Nicetoe, Jaga, Kaima and Bob,
The misery continues as I watched the Dutch news this morning!
Shortage of food, water and lack of medical care complicate this tragic situation. There are to many casualties and dead people under the rubble.
The Netherlands send a plane with a specialist dog rescue team, food and other material. And I am sure that other countries are doing the same!

I remember posting information about people in Haiti eating the mud cakes last year. It was in the same time when businessmen in New York were trying to earn lots of money on the stocks, so they artificially increased the food prices!
