My Good friends all.
My most sincere thank you. For all the gold and silver of the world, is not a treasure with the glitter and shine to be found. But to the most valuable of treasure, is the friendship of you all.
For each of you in your own manner, are a teacher, yes.. For you have given with out knowledge, of your selves in a most unselfish manner a gift. And what is this gift? It is of many things that we admire, for then how would I as a simple man, place into words?? For I am not sure, nor do I have the wisdom of that I have not. Please forgive the lack of word proper, but of the following to describe:
Friendship: Freely given as a blessing
Consideration: Some thing as a grown child I was formerly with out.
Kindness: I had forgotten, but quickly reminded through your Patience.
Thoughtfulness: I had forgotten with the passage of time..
Nictoe: Lili Marleen as sung by Marlene Dietrich is time less. When ever cold and wet, to remember that song, is to continue in life.
J.J.: I have learnt so much from you, but the most valuable of lesson. Is to be human.
Jaga: your self as a dear friend I will cherish for what ever time is given to me in this life.
Tim: You are a tiller of the soil, and most important, a tiller of life. Waver not in the strong wind, for your strength will be your self.
Pieter: How will I to place into words, your gifts. For they are so many, within the time given to us in life, we have but such short time as we count the days. For each day to open the forum, is an adventure of pleasure in anticipation of an exchange with you. It would so seem, of the many shortages I suffer, you seem to fill in the cracks so well...Thank you!!

Karl, happy birthday. I hope you would have a good day and please, tell us how did you celebrate it! Jaga This past evening after work, was consolidated as good bye week and hello week end. We visited a close by Cantina place named of La Pequene casa. Not sure what the name means, but it was fun. Some one sneaked out the fact of my birthday and would you believe: They actually brought around a candle circled plater filled with small cakes and candy. I was very thankful they only placed about ten candles, for if of 70, then it would have brought the fire department down on us. A Mexican fellow with guitar came to our table with two of the employee ladies to sing some songs in Spanish. It was both embarrassing filled with surprise and wonderment upon my part. The supper was very delicious, some what spicy and this to drink a bit more wine to wash it down and cool the sinuses a bit. We stayed for another hour to listion to their music and singing. It was all in Spanish, but who cares... Many of the people to come in at this time, were many couples in for the dancing music and it was fun to watch their faces in pleasure as they danced to the music. We stayed but for an hour, then to drive a bit in the warm air and to see the city lights before returning to our respective housing flats. Karl

Karl, Wayne and I are a bit late to the party but our wishes for you to have a wonderful birthday are better late than never! Remember as you celebrate in the Cantina, all you need to say is, Mas cervas por favor ... and enjoy! Dear Chris and Wayne Thank so very much for your kindness of wish. It matters not of time, who cares, it is the thoughtfulness of friends that count. {Mas cervas por favor} I will make a point to remember this. I think cervas is beer, not sure of the other words though, must study this... Dependant upon the area of the city, some English is spoken in the business centre and the VW centre. There are buildings they own for use as meeting locations. It is still an adjustment from the English speaking/Arabic and Hebrew foreign lands. Now it is Spanish to deal with. " I am so dense" the area you guys live in, is large Spanish speaking community? Karl

Seems like you survived Hurricane Karl, Karl. We received some wind and rain with just some accumulated water on some streets with poor drainage. but nothing drastic. The storm more so drifted East of 110-115 Km from here. Some of our antennas we were to bring down and the microwave antennas were bolted secure for just in case. We since have restored all in their proper place. I have heard of some flood and wind deaths south of us and of course to the East. Karl

Hola Karl,
thanks for the description of your birthday. It had to be romantic with the music and nice with the friends. I remember when I was in Mexico, sometimes the men with guitars would approach and ask whether we want the music.
I understand that this was also a bit embarassing, but althogether a great experience.

Kai Danke Sehr viel This is so kind of you and very much appricated... Gollies, you are in a most beautiful area,,on the wine road, and the castle Frankenstein, were you to have lunch there with the ghost of the past? Haa, the little fellow in lederhosen ;D I am quite sure most folks would not be confused as to this we look, would they? Perhaps I must look see into the mirror once more,,,no,,,my image still is same.. I would only think we are little different then most people living in a sea port low land that is The North. If perhaps to build a house of stone, best forget it unless it is imported. How do you describe typical clothing worn in the North? In summer, it is so nice, and usually with a sea breeze and sunshine, inbetween the morning sea fog. It is usually good to have a nice collection of clothing for different seasons. Of course the young people know not, for they wear what will show the most skin, as they age and collect wrinkles, the skin shown, begins to be covered with good clothing. Winter rains and wind, it is good to have in your clothing collection, some good sturdy wool or better, a wool/poly mix fabrik. For the wool tends to shed the light mist and if wet, the poly will prevent the wool from shrinkage. Thank you again Kai {The World Traveler} Karl
