I was just checking the support forum in Proboards and this is what is said: support.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=support&action=display&thread=373061Foreign language forums are now allowed. They are working on the set of rules for these forums I think we should create one subforum which allows Polish language as a main language. We can there also teach Polish to people who do not know Polish but want to learn!

This is a message to Ricky Zyvoloski I just sent:
Hi Ricky,
so where are the terms of service?
I have Polish Culture Forum for years. I would like to create just one section in the forum for people who want to learn Polish, want to discuss Polish news from Polish language mass-media or want to translate something.
I would bear a full responsibility of what is printed there and make sure only good language is used.
By the way, you have a Polish (or Slavic) last name!
Please, let me know where are the rules and regulations and whether what I want to do sounds right.

Here are the forums rules. I do not see too much about foreign language forums, do you? proboards.com/tosIndeed, there is nothing about it now, though such a rule used to appear in the old version of TOS. I have been interested in the problem for a while and did a little research. I found out a dozen forums which are run in Polish exclusively and some of them are a few years old. I think there is no need to worry. Besides: ProBoards does not control the forums made available by means of the Website and Services. Forum owners and moderators reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to delete or modify forum posts, revoke membership to the forum, block access to the forum, modify Your account profile, or modify any User Content (as defined in Section 15 below) on the forum. You should contact the forum owner directly with any complaint, grievance or problem. ProBoards reserves the right, but disclaims any perceived, implied or actual duty, to monitor disputes between Website members. You agree to hold ProBoards harmless in connection with any dispute or claim You make against any other member.
Besides, in April 2010 Rick Z. replied in this way to another poster: Hi, Within about 48 hours, we will have a new Terms of Service up. With this new service agreement, foreign languages will be allowed I have 3 forums on Proboards now, one of which is entirely Polish.

Pawian,
I am glad you saw it too since you have forums. I did not realize that you have so many. You can go to support forums and check my e-mail exchange there. Frankly, I wish we could combine our activities;)
I am glad that we have you here, I will try to drop to your forum also sometimes. If you find something useful for your forum you can share it with us!

Well, without going into any fancy efforts or bothering to read the instructions (I am a man after all, and instructions are to be read only after all other efforts fail!).
I will switch to my Slovak keyboard and give it a try. If you are reading gibberish, then go to the top of your screen and find VIEW, CHARACTER ENCODING and choose UTF 8. That seems to work in mst instances.
+ ľ š č ť ž ý á í é = ´
I will leave it to someone else to test the Polish.
Kai

as I said we may also have the international forum for other languages. I just do not want to start everything too rapidly
