It being December 13th, I thought it would be a great topic for discussion if we had a thread about "Today in Polish History". Not neccessarily about the specific date of December 13th, any date in Polish history would be interesting to learn about. Some of us do not know all the significant dates and would be interested in learning more. Some would like to share. So, today is December 13th, was was significant about today's date? Any memories you would feel comfortable in sharing?

ZOMO was the motorized police. They were equipped in weapons and special uniforms. We did not know anything about ZOMO until Dec 13. Here is more: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ZOMO
