Polish filmmaker Walerian Borowczyk died last year. Here's a page with some of his works: www.ubu.com/film/borowczyk.html* Essential viewing for fans of Polish cinema who know only names like Andrzej Wajda (whose career, as Tadeusz Konwicki said, thinly-veiled, in his novel A Minor Apocalypse, can be summed up thus: towing the Party line in Technicolor!)

Ludikundera, thank you for reminding about this interesting film director. Like many people of art - he was associated with France. I did not know that he was also co-directing some of the famous or infamous Emannuelles here is more about him: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Walerian_Borowczyk
