I saw this recipe in today newspaper. I think it is worth to try - a different way to use pieroges with some vegetables:
PIEROGIES WITH BROCCOLI Makes: 4 servings Preparation time: 10 minutes Cooking time: about 10 minutes
1 (16.9-ounce) package frozen potato and onion pierogies 1 (12-ounce) package fresh broccoli florets 1 cup light Alfredo sauce 1/2 cup roasted red pepper strips, drained 1/4 cup shredded 50 percent reduced-fat cheddar cheese
Add water to a large skillet until half full. Cover and bring to boil. Add pierogies; boil 5 minutes, or until tender, adding broccoli during the last 3 minutes of cooking. Drain and return to skillet. Gently stir in Alfredo sauce and pepper strips; cook on low until hot. Sprinkle with cheese. Cover and cook 1 to 2 minutes, or until cheese melts.
Per serving: 326 calories, 13 grams protein, 11 grams fat (28 percent calories from fat), 5.4 grams saturated fat, 47 grams carbohydrate, 57 milligrams cholesterol, 637 milligrams sodium, 3 grams fiber.

Love my mom's pierogi's.
Cheese, plum, and potato with the left over dough being turned into "worms" as we called it. Dump on a bunch of butter and enjoy!

;D Pierogies I love but, please, please leave out the Broccoli. Broccoli is a very distaeful vegtable and should only be fed to pigs. I prefer Brussel Sprouts.

Well this recipe was great. It was easy to make and I didn't change it a bit.Because i love broccoli,Broccoli may help us solve our vitamin D deficiency epidemic.I plan to use this throughout, the summer to accompany my potato salads and pasta salads.

Has the sound of tasty. I like broccoli, but then, I like most every thing that is good to eat. My self do enjoy and like fried liver, but it will not agree with me, about 30 minutes, I feel as if with the flue for several hours.
The few foods I will not touch are those made of insects even though high in protein. But, if to starve on a survival course, insects are on the menu in as well of grubs and plant roots or what ever that is good to eat.
As you see, very few foods are exempt off the menu of eating. One food that many enjoy is blut Wurst, not on my menu, sorry, I do not eat blood.
