I cannot correct the spelling to Little Jimme thingyens. It just won't take it. Even the above is incorrect. Wow, this has never happened to me. Go to the following: www.littlejimmythingyens.com/Go to this page and the spelling shouldn't be modified. www.geocities.com/Nashville/9947/jimmy.htmNancy feels it's due to bad language spelling and changes it automatically. Talk about censorship - - - yechhhttttt!!!!!

Hey John,
Just give us a chance to catch up with the way this new board works ..... I checked in the admin area - there is a list of "censored" words with replacement words. I made a couple of changes in it, we will see how that works ... I noticed the original link you posted is now correct, even if the quote is not ... can you say Jimmy Dickens now?
My very own brother's name is Richard, but we call him Dick.

Hah, still can't talk about my brother - be right back ....
OK, I fixed that one, anyway. We will see what else we encounter along the way.

;D Thanks Nancy, It did clear it up. However, in all my years on the internet, Started around 1978, this is the very first time I was unable to post what I wanted. A very uneasy feeling.

Yes, I understand - feels like the computer/internet has some weird control .... but it turns out there are some settings that ProBoards has by default, and we can adjust them. I did leave some of the "censored" list in place, partly because the replcaement words are so funny, and I doubt anyone except a troll would use the original word anyway. I will mention this to Jaga. Thanks for discovering this previously unknown feature.

Leslie, Not young and hopefully not still naive. Once was enough for me (or I just have not met anyone I would want to spend the rest of my life with and enjoy my freedom way too much) My ex has had three so far, 2 more after me, he is trying till he gets it right... or I am just irriplaceable ....LOL. I like the way I interpeted your saying better than your translation...1st one from God, 2nd from people and 3rd from the Devil

Kai. We are going to have a hard time finding all those FORBIDDEN words but I bet they only have the English/American spelling and we can say the same thing in other languages ;D that would really confuse the board more than us. LOL

Hi Rdy... I liked your alternative version of the translation - isn't language wonderful when you can make it say what YOU mean. I love proverbs and aphorisms - I must have hundreds now that I have selected from the thousands around. Some I particularly like are:
Your church is where you feel God’s inspiration; not where you see the cross, walls and stones Kosciol twoj tam, skad boskie plynie ci natchnienie, A nie tam, gdzie krzyz widzisz, belki i kamienie
Do not covet your neighbour’s wife in vain Nie pozadaj zony blizniego swego nadaremno
Let his life be much better, unlike herring soup Niech mu zycie lepszym bedzie, niz sledziowa zupa
May your life flow as smooth as the Wisla (Vistula) to Gdansk Niech mu zycie slodko plynie, jak Wisla do Gdanska
May the star that shines on you, never be extinguished Niech mu gwiazda pomyslnosci, nigdy nie zagasnie
Quite a few married couples prove that misfortunes come in pairs Niejedna para malzenska jest dowodem, ze nieszczescia chodza parami
"The violin doesn't play for everybody." Nie dla wszystkich skrzypce graja
A virtuous girl never chases after boys; whoever saw a mousetrap chasing mice? Cnotliwa dziewczyna nigdy nie lata za chlopcem. Czy kto widzial, zeby pulapka gonila mysz?
Where the devil can’t manage, he’ll send a woman Gdzie diabel nie moze, tam babe posle.
Enjoy Leslie

You do pretty good Polish for a Scotsman. The only one I know is Craig Fergussen on after Letterman. He is so funny. I am losing much beauty sleep having to stay up and watch him. You may remember him from the Drew Carey Show if you ever watched it.

Whiskey is my favorite drink, especially the Scottisch one, and then Lowland malt!
But on a good party and when I have less money I can enjoy a good Irish whisky like Jameson, Paddy Whiskey or Tullamore Dew. Next to that I can enjoy an American or Canadian bourbon whisky's and then most often choose the well known Tennessee Whiskey's Jack Daniels or George Dickel, but also Four Roses and Jim Beam from Kentucky.

I wonder why it is that threads about alcohol are the ones that really take off on this forum? Just wondering.....

Actually, pieter has named the whiskies I like. Whilst in Canada, the Canadian whiskies were very prevalient {naturally} and flavourable. Whilst at same time, the better Scotch whiskies are a treat in thems selves, except for the cheap stoff.
I just like the tast, but not to drink over too much!
A lovely treat in winter {those darn prairy winter winds} is a table spoon of what ever whisky into a cup of hot tea. It flavours and warms at same time.
