When I’m on travel, especially in other country the first thing came up to my mind is how can I interact to the people with the country I visited. Just like last year when my older sister and I together with my Aunt Nina went to Italy, We have a great time and lots of local residence we mingle with but personally I have a hard time communicating because of language barrier so I decided to take sort of learning session as I found cursos ingles estados unidos it was fun learning new languaes, this reference help me develop my communication skills. Also these cursos aleman alemania and Learn German language really give me a great help in learning other languages. I’m so excited to visit other places; I like to travel mostly in Eastern and Western Europe I just love to visit them, if I have a chance I will really take a shoot. I hope Aunt Nina will invite me again to go along with her. I think she will hire me as part time supplementary personnel for her business travel. I can’t wait for the next trip; I just love to talk other people using foreign languages, also I highly recommend study languages …its great though!

Baby Ruth,
This sounds like it was written by an ad professional. Come back and tell us a bit about your travels and yourself, or it is possible a moderator will delete the topic ...

Kai I think Kai, you have this lady spotted very accuratley as commerical. It appears very blatenly of commercial advertising for {Study Language Courses} Very slick introduction I would say.. {It will be a wonder if she returns} Charles

I think learning language in a travel is a quick method. I have learnt Spanish in my trip to Spain. And speaking to indigenes is very interesting. And it improve my spoken Spanish rapidly.

I can speak generally on the benefit of learning languages - this will not be an advert for any learning group! Over the years I have picked up several languages, following one very seriously, and for the others sufficient to have superficial contact with the indigenous population - saying Hello, Goodbye, See you later, Please, Thank you, I would like. Where are the toilets, Beer, Good morning, Good night and so on. In the several years I have been coming to Poland, this is the level I have reached. Why not higher? Simply because I was lazy - I found Polish one of the most difficult languages I had encountered so for other reasons I made only a limited effort to learn it. In my work in Poland, I would have had to be very proficient to give a presentation, lead a discussion and take feedback from my learners/audience; so I always had a translator ad didn't need to to learn.. In this way I found that I was appreciated if I started off in Polish for a few minutes than excused myself to the audience - many times I got applause/recognition for doing this, particularly if my comments were humorous. Then I relied on the translator - preferably instantaneous translation by means of the closed circuit radio, rather than having someone standing beside me and my having to stop every two or three sentences to allow the translator to catch up. So you see I am a strong advocate of language learning to maximum level, if everything is there to help you rather than hinder you. I am envious of children like Jaga's Ela who is growing up to be able to speak two languages easily and later, perhaps more. You have to be careful with children - when my two boys were younger I tried when we were all having a meal together to get them to speak French (especially as they were also learning it at school) - every time I did this by addressing them in French, one of the two would say 'Dad, we're English - talk English!!!) I don't think BabyRuthComing was in any way advertising, simply letting people know of her experience - often helpful to people who are wondering how they should go about it. Leslie

Charles I am not being my gentleman self to interject in this thread regarding your comments! I am far from rich, existing on my state pension and my private pension.plus, at the moment, royalties still from some of my books (although I do have more money of my own than I had during my two marriages)!! Not all English have good manners and are peace-loving, although I try to have/be both myself - sometimes it is is very difficult! Your comments about yourself are at odds with what I have gathered from our emails and I think you do yourself a disservice. Yes, you do not hesitate in saying what you think, and I guess that at times you go ahead like a bull in china shop, but my feelings are that in a forum such as ours that is a luxury of which one has to be careful. Your background and service, I know are beyond reproach - so stop being so b....y demeaning But (and I know you do not take this as nasty criticism) think a little more about what you are writing!!! I'm writing like a Moderator already!! My good wishes Leslie

Leslie
Well, it would appear you have been infront of me on this. In actuality, I was feeling rather dismal over the post in question and had deleted it out. Then to my dismay, I found you have previously read it.
For this, I am very sorry my friend for you are a true gentleman in your very nature. For I had indeed with intention to have removed the offending post.
It was an unfortunate mistake in judgment upon my part, sorry.
It would appear of temperament at expense of judgment.
