OK folks, enough about guns and treachery and all that stuff. Now for the real reason we are alive. COOKING good food.
My grandaughters other grandmother is pure Irish with red hair and freckles. For St. Patty's Day I would like to cook a Polish dish for them with lamb as the main ingredient. I don't see much about lamb except butter and flags as substitute.
Anybody can help here ?

Jasiu says:Didn't get any culinary advice on my request. So, I went to the web site of 'Polish Mama on the Prairie'. Recipe is here: polishmamaontheprairie.blogspot.com/2012/01/polish-hunters-lamb.htmland she had a recipe for Polish Hunters Lamb. I will use this recipe for my Irish (Inlaw) grandmother for St. Patty's Day. Here's what ir should look like. Because I decided to let the lamb sit another hour after adding the slices of garlic, the garlic turned green but it is safe to eat. Polish Moma's: The final verdict: My Tato did not like it, but he doesn't like lamb. My husband inhaled it as did both of my children, who do not like lamb. My older daughter does not like sour foods but since I found the right amount of balance when I added the sugar and she mixed sour cream into her sauce, she loved it. I loved it and ate nothing else for several days.
