Pilsudski's 20 zloty. I did not see it yet, but glad that Poles are up to the standards!

Yeah, John and Jaga. I am glad that Poland is in the forfront of Modern Europe. I always wishes Poland to be in the center of Europe in the sense of West-European economical, financial and political standards, built in a century of democracy (minus 1914-1918 and 1940-1945)! For me it is hopeful that Poland today is one of the most advanced European countries.

Pilskudski was a military person who changed his religion from Catholic to Lutheran to marry his second wife.... so he is quite a cosmopolitan

J.J.
It is good for Poland and for Europe for introduction of this relatively new technology. With the use of polymer material in manufacturing bank notes, with the associated security features over that of paper {cloth} should make it more difficult for counterfeiters. With this perhaps once in production, a cost saving may be realized over material/equipment/ and replacement for use time wear out returns.
The use of polymer as printing material is a well known technology that is presently used by other nations for their currency. Once the initial manufacturing process has been in use, the cost and wear out facture over the former material used should be an incentative for other states to follow for their own consideration.
Counterfeiting is such a scourge with most any currency and perhaps this technology will at least better protect from those of the criminal activities.
