"Here I am, driving on a road that was built with European Union money. It was built with money taken from taxpayers in Italy and Germany and France. Now we refuse to do our part?"ROBERT BIEDRON, the mayor of Slupsk, Poland, on the reaction to the migrants flowing into Europe. The good Mayor has made a point that needs be taken to the bank. In short past, Poland requested a need for military presence from other EU members with the US contributing. This was in the face of fears of Russian aggression in the Ukrainian issue. This never occurred, but what did occure was a very large contingent of military presence provided by Western EU states. All funded and supplied provided by the various supporting states on their own ticket. No request was asked for and none given of recompense for expenses to compensate as supported by the sweat of the brow of the tax payers of each respective state. These situations as supporting provisions, are not a favour to be placed in the bank for return, not expected, nor required. What is occurring, is a test of the EU membership and their commitment as each to be a whole, and that is the EU. This test will determine just how strong the EU actually is as a whole. If the members fail this test and simply go their own way without reqard to the issues that are at hand with this crises. Then we have failed. For from this time on, will be the gradual degrade of the original idea of a unified Europe. Make no mistake, other eyes are watching what the out come will be from actions of the member states, and we all will be judged upon this. Rather the future will be to our liking, or, not so good, is determined by the individual commitment of each state to make a whole. For it takes one pebble to lose ground, become a vassel of gravity to then strike another without solid footing to begin a rock slide. We are not pebbles, but the EU is only as strong as each member state is in commitment, it is to this manner, that the individual member states becomes a whole. Karl
