Well, I can't remember what they called this salad, I will ask in my next letter. For now, it's Sałatą Celiną( my cousin's wife ) It is very, very simple, we ate it every obiad (and many śniadanie), and was one of my daughters favorite. We've made it many times since returning home, though now would not be a good time because there are no good tomatoes. As delicious as it is aesthetically pleasing! Ingredients: -1 can of corn -small head of cabbage -cucumber -red pepper -tomatoes -salt and pepper Chop vegies into small pieces, add in bowl, some salt and peeper (then more to taste if desired) Or just look at the picture, which as they say, is worth a 1,000 words!

No dressing??? Almost looks like the salad I had in Poland. Smacnego Piwo.. I cannot imaginge having it for breakfast. Is that common for breakfast or is it because you just liked it so much?

Yes, there was no dressing at all, and it was wonderful. The combination of tastes required NO dressing at all. I'm not sure if they had it for 2nd śniadanie everyday or if it was just for us. They had tomatoes with chopped onions for every meal on the table, as well as fried chicken and pork cutlets. My daughter loved it, and they were doing anything they could to please. The kids grilled my daughter on what she ate at home, and like magic, cereal materialized for śniadanie the next morning. My daughter dug in.. poured the milk, and upon the first bite, realized it was absolutely fresh from the cow’s udder: nice and warm! She was a trooper, and ate two bowls just so she wouldn't offend!
The salad doesn’t look like much, but I think you’d be surprised at how smaczny it is. Simple, yet wonderful.

Wrong...I think the salad looks perfect. When we were in Poland my aunt made many pork cutlets too. Must be a traditional food...like out hamburgers She also made Chicken Kiev...excellent but surprising as I did not think this to be a Polish food.

Wrong...I think the salad looks perfect. Guess I meant to say that it didn't "sound like much", but was really good. I agree, it is quite attractive looking!
