On 5 May 2018, in Warsaw, the funeral of General Brig. Ottokara Brzoza-Brzeziny - the founder of the Polish legion artillery in 1914-1916 will take place. In 1917-1918, the general fought on the Italian front. After the end of the First World War, he served in the Polish army and took part in the war with the Bolsheviks in 1920, for which he obtained the Golden Cross (4th class) of the Military Order of Military Virtues. For the campaign of 1939 the Military Order of Military Virtuti was again assigned - Knight's Cross (3rd degree). On Good Friday, March 30, 2018, a ceremonial exhumation of the General's remains was carried out before their transfer to the Powązki military cemetery took place. The ceremony was prepared by our Association, in connection with some pictures of the ceremony. It must be said that the general was of Czech descent and a Pole of choice.
