John,
this was really great video. I did not see it until now and I watched it. It shows the most unique elements of Polish landscape - dunes, storks, Bialowieza national forest and its European bison which I know from many cards that celebrate bison and wetlands with butterflies.
I have never been really in Bialowieza forest. This is one of these few places in Poland I did not visit yet, but forests like that are described in famous Polish national poems.
Thanks for posting. Referring to your question - I think the most important places are protected. There was a scare of a disease in the national forest, so they had to clean it which causes some environmentalist to wonder, but I hope it is done now.
